Footsteps slightly echoed all around. But it wasn't a problematic issue. after all the noise was coming from the group, who were all walking through an abandoned city. Seeing the empty buildings and once family homes, y/n was once again reminiscing the time of where walkers didn't exist. With the positions everyone was in, kenny being the lead, the two newbies being in the back, and basically everyone else being in the middle. They all had one specific job, WATCH OUT FOR WALKERS. Anyways, clementine being near y/n, the boy saw her constantly glancing over at the walkie Lee had attached to his belt
Y/n: (whispering) ...go ask him
Clementine: (whispering) what if he gets mad?
Y/n: (whispering) I promise you he won't
Clementine: (whispering) you sure?
Y/n: (whispering) he hasn't got mad at the other things we told him
Realizing that was a good point. Clementine went up to lee while also making sure to drag y/n along with her
Clementine: can't I just hold it? I mean, we're getting close to where mom and dad are
Lee: not now, I need you two to keep your eyes on the streets
Clementine: ok, sorry
Y/n: (whispering) well, at least you tried
Lee: hey christa, how's omid?
Christa: his leg's pretty bad
Omid: im fine
Christa: your not fine. you need to rest
Lee: kenny, how much farther to the river front?
Kenny: it should be just a few more blocks up ahead
Christa: and there'll be boats there?
Lee: sure hope so
Kenny: there'll be boats there. Have to be
Ben: it'll be fine. Kenny knows what he's doing
*ding* *ding*
The sound of a bell echoed throughout the block. Y/n looked around the place to see what could've caused the bell to ring. But the only thing he managed to spot was the bell tower
Ben: what the hell?
Christa: maybe this city isn't as abandoned as we thought
Kenny: we gotta keep moving. No one's ringing that thing, the bells on a timer
Lee: what kinda church goes 20 past the hour
Seeing a dark figure standing of one of the roof tops. Y/n tried to be smooth with alerting one of the adults so that someone more mature can spot the person and possibly come up with something. So with Lee being that adult near him, y/n tapped Lee to get his attention before giving a little signal of where to look. Doing so, Lee caught a glimpse of the person before they ran away after being caught
Lee: someone's up there!
Ben: what are talking about? No one's up there
Lee: hey you! Up on the roof!
Christa: dammit Lee, your gonna-
*static*
??? (Coming from the walkie talkie): if I were you, I'd get out of the streets....now!
Christa: I thought you said that thing didn't work
Choosing to ignore Christa. Lee grabbed the walkie before holding it up close and pressing what was the button that allowed you to talk
