*Wasn't going to assign this chapter a song until just now while listening to a random mix. But this just works for (a lil later) in this chapter lol
*Boyfriend: Dove Cameron
For the first time in a few weeks, Jisung woke up in his own apartment. It was a little sad waking up alone to an empty place. Well, maybe not empty, he did have plenty of plants sprinkled around, but they were hardly decent company. Maybe he still needed to get a cat, even if he already had a grumpy one in the form of Minho.
Thankfully Jisung didn't have much time to dwell on the fact that the rooms surrounding him were so empty and quiet, because he was in the middle of rushing around, tossing clothes aside and searching for something cute yet comfortable to wear. The plans he made today with the gangster involved a bit of a lengthy drive, followed by a lot of time on their feet, so comfort was of utmost importance. He was tempted to call Hyunjin for some help, but considering it was just past four in the morning, he didn't want to risk death by calling him.
Still undecided on what to wear, Jisung quickly ran through the motions of getting ready in other ways, such as doing his hair and brushing his teeth, etc. He ran through watering all of his plants and then checked the time just as a knock rang at his door.
So much for being on time, good job, Jisung. He rushed over to the door and unlocked it before dragging it open. "Hey, sorry, you can- Min-Su?" he burst out, blinking in surprise. He cleared his throat. "Um, what are you doing here?"
Min-Su rubbed the back of his neck, glancing to the side and blushing a little. "I'm sorry for showing up so early and randomly. I ran into Hyunjin the other day and he told me that you leave for your shop at six every morning, so I just wanted to see if I could catch you beforehand."
Jisung's brain loaded. Hyunjin, I'm going to kill you. "And I'm assuming he sent you here?" he asked, keeping his voice light and polite. It wasn't Min-Su's fault that Jisung's best friend was an idiot.
"Um, yeah, he did. He said Fridays were the best day to catch you and he gave me your address." Min-Su cleared his throat. "I'm sorry, you're clearly in a rush, I, um, I should have texted you or something unlike what Hyunjin told me."
"What did he tell you?"
"That you like surprises." Min-Su was a little red now, not fully meeting Jisung's gaze. "I feel quite silly now, actually."
Jisung laughed a little. "Okay, I do like surprises, and this is sweet, but I am actually not going to work today." He suddenly realized he was still very much in his pajamas, but it was too late to hide that, no matter how much he was blushing. "I'm getting ready for a flower festival."
"Oh really? Will you be selling any of yours?"
Jisung shook his head. "No, I just want to see as much as I can. And maybe I'll collect some new flowers I've been wanting to grow."
Min-Su smiled. "That's awesome." He cleared his throat and took one step down the stairs. "Well, I hope you have fun, travel carefully, all that."
"Thanks." Jisung wasn't sure if it was the awkward circumstance coupled with the sweet guy, or what, but he felt a small twinge of guilt, leading him to speak his next words. "Oh, and Min-Su, about that coffee? We can get some tomorrow morning. But maybe around nine, not at dawn."
Min-Su dipped his head with a small chuckle. "Yeah, definitely. And sorry for this, again."
"It's alright, this was totally on Hyunjin," Jisung waved off, hoping to stave off at least a little bit of the awkwardness floating around them like an unwanted cloud.
