Dark clouds filled the night sky as rain poured down upon the Surface. A young girl huddled beneath a tree, her tattered clothes covered in mud and soaked through to the skin. The cold night air made each newly fallen water droplet sting her lightly tanned skin. She shivered as the wind blew and another loud clap of thunder echoed in the sky. An eerie moan came from above. She looked up. SNAP! One of the tree branches caved beneath the force of the storm. The girl scrambled to her feet and hurriedly stumbled out of the way just before the branch crashed to the ground. She panted weakly. The wind suddenly grew more violent and before she knew it, it snatched her from the ground. A loud scream escaped her throat as she desperately tried to find something to grab on to in order to keep from being blown away completely. CRACK. Another object that had been caught by the wind crashed into her, and she blacked out.
