I got up from my bed to get ready for school.Well as a teenage my live is very hectic , I go for my school and after that I go for my part time job and on weekends I go to the orphanage to meet kids there .so basically I don't get time for me . We middle class people have no money for clubs every weekend . BUT I always find time to read my novles like that is the only way to escape harsh reality.
I have a big dream to go to Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Well it is not easy for people like us , only scholarship can help so, I study my ass of to get there.

I wore a black bodysuit with olive gree cargo , tied my hair in a ponytail and wore a rose gold color watch took my school bag and walk out of my room.

Good morning mom , I said with a cheerful smile .

Good morning dear , see Grace is already waiting for you....have your breakfast and go fast . My mom said smiling back to me .

Well that's surprising how are u so early today ?? I asked her because of her I'm always late for my school sometimes I even got detention for her .

See Mrs.Mendez how she is talking to me like I'm always late ,she said while sulking

My mom laughed at her childish behavior and I rolled my eyes in a playful manner.

Let's go , bye mom .. I said and walked towards the main door

Btw ,sweetie today your dad is coming back ...come fast okay. My mom said kissing my forehead.

Wow Mrs. Mendez no kiss for me, it's okayy I will manage with this rude behavior. Grace said while making a puppy face.

Aww my daughter I love you ...muah. byee take care and have lunch .my mom said kissing Grace forehead.

Inside the school 🏫

We enter our classroom and sit just then our class teacher enters

Mrs.grey : ok student I have a notice .so many of you applied for the scholarship to Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona..So only two student have been choosen who will get the scholarship.

My heart stopped for a moment I was really hoping my name to be there in the list .Grace held my hands and said me to calm down.

Mrs.grey: So, the names are Guilford and Kyra !!!! Many many congratulations.

Mrs.grey said my name I excitedly hugged Grace and cried, it was my dream University and finally I'm going here. I had a wish that someday I will study there and finally my hard works paid off .

Grace : omgtt I'm so happy for you ..congratulations. I luv you bestiii

Thank you so much ..I luv you to bestie. I said excitedly.

Finally we are going to the same college .Well Grace didn't need any scholarship bcoz she had money for university. It was the university only rich kids can afford bt Grace had her big family were every member of the family is giving money for her university as she is the only child of her family .

Congratulated me and wished my good luck for my up coming future.

Me and Grace started heading back to our home

But Grace I'm little scared .I said

Why!! For what. Aren't you happy that you got the scholarship.

No, it's not that .bt yk Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is a place only rich kids can afford bt I'm going through scholarship. I'm just scared what if they bully me or yk like that..And yk I can't trust people easily or make friends easily ..I said playing with my fingers looking down bitting my lips.

Omgt Kyra did you forget that you have best friend who always fight for you . Don't worry I will always protect even though we are in different stream bt in same university so,don't worry I will break everyone who will come near you .Grace said hugging me ..

I smiled and hugged her back ..I'm so lucky so have a friend like her . She is the only one I can share anything without fearing anything or fear to be judged.

I walked inside my house and was greeted with a big hug.

Omgtt Kyra I'm so happy for you and proud of you my daughter ..see we got this letter of your scholarship ,finally your hard work paid off .My mother said hugging me crying in happiness.

Aww mom stop I'm going to cry .

Then my dad hugged me and said

I knew you would get this , you worked so much for this .I'm so proud to call you my daughter. I'm so proud of you .

Thank you so much dad I missed you so much .I said hugging him .

Okay mom I'm going to my room .I have to pack also and freshen up .

Btw when are you going ??

In three days . And classes will start from next week so, it Will take me two days to settle .

Grace is also going right . So you two try to stay together. Okayy..

Yes mom,ofc I only have her .

I'm really going to miss you alot .although it's just the next city but I won't get to see you everyday or make breakfast everyday for you . My mother said while controlling her tears .

I hugged my mother and stay in that position for sometime.Well truly it was the first time I'm going far from them . I sometimes stayed at Grace' house but this was obviously very different.
