annas POV :
It was my eighth birthday, but it didn't feel like it. The day started badly. In the morning, I accidentally broke Mom's favorite vase. She was so angry, and it made me feel terrible.
- I can't believe you did this! That vase was very special! - she shouted, her face red with frustration. I tried to explain that it was an accident, but she didn't want to listen. Tears welled up in my eyes as I stood there, feeling like the worst child in the world.
To make things worse, none of my friends called or sent me messages to wish me a happy birthday. I hated all of them for that .I felt like nobody cared. I didn't want to talk to anyone, so I decided to go outside, take a walk and be alone. I put on my shoes and headed out, hoping the fresh air would help me feel better.
I walked to the football field near my house. It was a sunny day, and the field was full of kids playing and having fun. Some were playing tag, others were on the swings, and a group was playing football.
I sat down on a bench under a big oak tree, trying to find some peace in the shade. As I watched the kids play, someone watched my attention and eyes landed on a familiar face.
- Wait, do I know him? - I looked at him for a pretty long time and tried to remember his name .
- Ohhh, It's Georges !!!!
A boy my age who lived in France. Every summer, he came back to Tbilisi to visit his grandparents. He was my neighbor, and we had played together a few times before.
Georges was playing football with some friends. He moved with such ease and confidence, weaving through the other players like a pro. His friends cheered him on, impressed by his skills.
- GOO GEORGES !! - GOAL ,GOAL !!! - I BELIEVE GEORGES TEAM WILL WIN !!! - his friends were so supportive.
I couldn't help but admire his talent for the game. I watched in amazement as he dribbled the ball down the field, his movements graceful and precise.Watching him made me forget my worries,BUT suddenly, lost in watching Georges, I didn't notice the ball coming straight at me. It hit me hard on the shoulder.
- shit!! MY SHOULDER, IT HURTSS ...ITS ALL RED! - I cried out in pain and surprise.
Georges heard my cry and immediately rushed over, his friends following behind him.
- Are you okay?- he asked in his gentle French accent, his brow furrowed with concern. He knelt beside me, checking to make sure I wasn't seriously hurt.
Despite the pain, I managed a small smile.
- I'm fine. - I said, wiping away a tear. - It just surprised me.
Georges looked relieved.
- I'm really sorry- he said sincerely. - It was an accident. Can I make it up to you?
- How? - I looked at him, surprised.
- Come play with us. - It's more fun with more people.- he said warmly, extending his hand.
I hesitated, unsure at first. But seeing the kindness in his eyes and the inviting smiles of his friends, I nodded. I got up and followed him to the field. His friends welcomed me with open arms, introducing themselves with bright smiles and friendly gestures. There was Tiko, with her curly hair bouncing as she laughed, and Niko, whose infectious grin made everyone around him smile.
