After hours of driving, the car finally came to a stop. With a sigh, the girl took out her earbuds, stepped out of the car, and shut the backseat door behind her. She looked up at her new home, taking in the sight of it. "Do you like it?" her father asked anxiously.
Changing homes from the place where she grew up was not something (Y/N) ever thought would happen, so when her dad was transferred to a new city, the best decision the (L/N) family could make was to move.
The girl quickly examined the large, two-story house, taking in its details. She noted that it was indeed beautiful; the house was painted a cozy gray and featured numerous windows and a black door.
"Yeah, it's lovely," she replied honestly, a small smile appearing on her face as she retrieved her suitcase from the back of the car.
Her father smiled in relief and locked the car. "Come on, your mom's already inside." She took a deep breath and followed her father to the front door.
The living room was spacious, with large windows that allowed sunlight to stream in, casting a warm glow over the hardwood floors. Boxes were scattered everywhere, a mix of familiar items and new purchases meant to fit their new life.
Her father set his keys on the hallway table and helped her with the suitcase. "You'll have the room at the end of the hall," he said, his voice filled with a mix of excitement and concern. "We thought you'd like the one with the best view."
She nodded, her smile growing a little wider. Taking her suitcase and climbing the stairs, the pretty girl navigated through the maze of boxes and made her way to her new bedroom. Pushing the door open, she was greeted by a spacious room with large windows overlooking a garden. The walls were a soft (color), and her bed was already set up, inviting her to settle in.
A knock in her door interrupted her thoughts. "Honey, how are you settling in?" A soft voice asked. "Oh, I'm... I'm doing fine." The girl answered as she took another skirt from her suitcase and placed it on her closet.
"Sweetie, I know that this was unexpected, but it's for the better."
"I know, it's just that I'll miss my friends." [Y/N] confessed as she took a seat on the bed.
