2021, Y/n

This party is so lame, jeez... And Todd bailed on me?! Bitch was supposed to drive me home when we got back to the docks. Does he not remember I have a show tomorrow?!? Whatever, I just needed him tonight then I was gonna ditch him after tomorrow.

I sigh, slumping against the seat below me, tossing my phone into my purse and sling it over my arm. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath in as I stand back up, heading back to the bar.

If I'm already high, and I'm not driving, might as well add drunk to that...

I order a Lemon Drop Martini (I looked this up, idk alcohol???) and wait. I glance around the yacht.

We've been out on the water since, like noon, and it's well past midnight now.

My drink arrives and I take a sip. I see out of the corner of my eye, this other singer, she's not as popular since she's still kinda knew but she keeps somehow worming her way to parties like this one.

This whole time, I didn't see her?? Damn, I'm really high...

It's not like I have a huge problem with her, I guess, but she and her stupid manager are always trying to steal my shows and she's even copied some of my songs which is annoying as hell. I glance over again to see what boy toy she has wrapped around her finger this week. That girl goes through boyfriends like they're-

What the fuck?! She's with my Todd?! That little bitch... And I mean both this time. He thinks he can bail on me, he can think again...

I stand up, walking towards them, drink in hand.

"Having fun there, Todd?" I yell at him as he has her on his lap.

"What the- heyyyy, Y/n... How you-" I cut him off.

"Shut up. I was going to dump you anyway, but thanks for giving me a better reason." I smile, downing the rest of my drink and looking back to the girl. "Enjoy my leftovers, copycat," I smile, leaving them alone as I walk to the back of the yacht, it's much quieter and I need that.

I lean on the railing, taking a deep breath but just as I get a moment's peace, my phone rings.

I see the contact, Rachel Manager. I answer.

"Hey, Rachel, little late to be calling, isn't it?" I say, my high hitting me from the weed that got passed around a few minutes ago... And maybe the coccaine I snorted before Todd bailed on me.

"A little late to be out, isn't it, Y/n?" She says, and I can practically hear the disappointment in her voice. "I thought we talked about these stupid parties. What part of 'they aren't good for your image' was not clear?"

"And what part of 'I'm just having fun and I'm always sober for performances' is not clear?!" I scream at the phone, "This is what pop stars do, Rach!"

"What they used to do. This isn't the 60s, Y/n, you keep forgetting that." I huff at her logic.

"Whatever, it's not like you're gonna come and get me from the ocean, Rachel!" I hang up and toss the phone off the boat.

"Rough night to be a big shot, huh?" That stupid, annoying voice.

"What do you want, copycat?" I cross my arms, leaning with my back against the rail.

She giggles, "You know, I really hate you. You're such an ungrateful whore who dances on a stage for money and popularity. You're no better than some STD ridden stripper."

I sneer, "And what does that make you? You literally copy my songs-"

"But not your slutty outfits, your whorish dance moves. You honestly can't even sing. You definitely got a deal for your body. That's the only thing you'd ever be good for-!"

I lunge at her, tackling her to the ground as I pull her hair and punch her in the face.

"You seriously think I'd just lie back and take the shit spewing from your mouth. Please I am-!"

She punches my gut, catching me off guard as she flips us over, her on top of me, punching my face. I try kicking her off and eventually succeed, kicking her to the railing. We split away, but I can tell she isn't done, and neither am I.

"Come on, girly, or is that you've got?" She lunges, and I dodge, pulling her back by her hair as I kick the back of her neck. "All bark, no bite." I laugh and begin to walk back to my previous spot. I hear her heavy breathing from behind me as she struggles to stand up. "Just give up, you can't beat m-!" She wraps her arms around my legs, lifting me up and over the rails, landing in the water, hitting my head on something hard and jagged.

I struggle to move and breathe as the water fills my lungs. I thrash about, hoping to reach the air, but... it's so hard to move. Everything feels heavy... I let my mouth drop open, more water flowing into my body as I feel all the air being taken from me. I feel my eyes shutting and... I let them...

~~~~~~~~~~~
My body still feels heavy. I groan as I open my eyes, the red sky blinding me...
Wait- red sky?!?
I sit up, way too fast, I might add, and see the red has spread. Most buildings are red or shades of red but other colors as well. Every part of my screaming internally.
What just happened?! Where am I?!?
I rise to my feet and walk to an alleyway. I sit down on the floor, trying to calm my fast-paced breathing. I glance over to something shiny, a mirror shard. I pick it up and see my face. I'm... different. I don't look like myself. It's strange...
I stand up and peer out the corner of the alley and spot a clothing store. I quickly dart over to the window to look at myself. *(Description of yourself here)*
At least, I'm still hot. I blow a kiss to myself. (Self-love 🫶)
I snap out of it and look around. Is this... Hell?
Cliffhanger! Intrigued yet? Hope so, I also hope you decide to stick around to see what happens next. Much more will happen in the next chapter. Remember, this is hella slowburn. 😘
