Part I

I sat in the silence of an empty white room. Outside the window was my mother babbling on and on about how I'm "not getting better". She is always so negative about everything. I don't know, the side effects to this medicine is drowsiness, maybe I'm just tired.
So today I went to LakeWorth hospital, because my therapist recommended me going. I don't really see why. I think I'm fine. Well, that's the thing. I THINK I'm fine. I know I'm not.
Well, the food here is gross, the pillows are hard, and the rooms smell like lemon. Yuck. As I placed the gown on my bed, a nurse walked in.
"Hello Jamie, can you please undress so I can proceed with the strip search." She said in a soft voice.
"Yes." I said.
I slowly up-zipped my sweater revealing all the marks that were left on my arms. I pulled my leggings down, and took off my bra.
She looked at me and back at her clipboard marking all the areas with cuts, bruises, burns, and scars.
"Thank you Jamie. You can put on your gown. I'll be right up with the supplies to give you an I.V."
