Laconic
(adj.) saying much in few words

As the crowds of guests flooded the Malhotra residence, Kaia deliberately blended in with the others. However, her mind wandered persistently to Nirvan, her thoughts consumed by the enigmatic host. She couldn't help but steal glances at him, her eyes drawn to his charismatic presence like a magnet. While Nirvan effortlessly charmed the other partygoers, Kaia felt like an outsider, longing for his attention. Despite her attempts to focus on her duties, her gaze kept drifting back to him, her heart skipping a beat each time their eyes met, even if only fleetingly.

"Thank you all for your unwavering support and patience," Rajiv concluded, his voice filled with gratitude as he handed the microphone to Nirvan.

The room was electric with anticipation as Nirvan addressed the media's questions. A reporter from the back row stood up, her voice clear and confident. "Sir, do you think all employees should be kept under surveillance from now on to prevent another incident like this?"

Nirvan's response was swift and decisive, his eyes shining with conviction. "Absolutely not! I trust my employees more than I trust myself. Our employees are the reason we're here today. One incident doesn't define us, and I assure you, this will never happen again." The room erupted into applause, the sound waves resonating with Nirvan's words.

After a few more questions about the company's future, Ruhi announced that time was running out. "One more question, please." A reporter raised her hand, her eyes locked on Nirvan. "I heard you were instrumental in uncovering the mystery. Is this true?"

Nirvan's response was humble, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "I'm sorry, Miss, but your sources are wrong. I had nothing to do with it. It was all my wife." Kaia's heart skipped a beat as the words 'my wife' echoed through her body, her soul stirring with emotion. Nirvan's voice continued, filled with pride and affection. "She did some incredible thinking to unravel the truth. If it wasn't for her, we couldn't have solved anything."

The room burst into a frenzy of questions, reporters clamoring for more information. "Where is she?" "What's her name?" "When is she coming?" "Why is she not here?" But Nirvan's gaze never wavered, his eyes locking onto Kaia's as he spoke again. "She doesn't want to be in the limelight, and I respect her decision. I will never force her to do anything she isn't comfortable with. I'm really proud of the person she is."

In that moment, the room melted away, leaving only Nirvan and Kaia, their eyes locked in a loving embrace. The air was electric with tension, their emotions palpable and strong.

"Good job," Rajiv said, walking up to Nirvan with a warm smile. "You handled that very well." Nirvan's response was a gentle smile, his attention still elsewhere.

Rajiv's question brought him back to the present. "Did she really want to be away from the limelight?"

Nirvan's eyes refocused on his father, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "What?" Rajiv's surprise was evident in his tone.

"Kaia, did she really not want credit for everything she's done?"

Nirvan's expression turned thoughtful, his voice filled with admiration. "No, Dad. She didn't even want anyone to know she was my wife, so she could be treated like an ordinary employee."

Rajiv's response was intriguing. "Interesting."

Nirvan's curiosity piqued, he asked, "What do you mean by interesting?"

Rajiv's eyes held a hint of pride, a rare sight. "She's pretty different from everyone here, and not at all how I judged her to be."

Nirvan's face lit up with a warm smile, his pride in Kaia evident. "You're right, she's amazing."
