As I head up the steps of the front porch the door swung open and a very distressed Tom holding a shotgun stood in the frame. He was pointing that gun at me.

"You disgusting whore, fucking around with a killer. Did you bring it here to kill us?" His hands were shaking and eyes were crazy. Bulging and looking behind me all scattered.

I lift my hands up. "Please you-" the gun went off and I was knocked onto my back, a burning in my chest and then the liquid pooling from the light in the porch. I was gonna die. I couldn't speak as blood started to choke me. The porch door slammed closed. And I heard yelling.

"What the fuck is going on?" George asked. Tom was screaming and crying. Babbling on. I drowned out their words now. To my right something grabbed me quickly. I was being dragged into the woods. I look up and see ghostface. His body was twitching as he pulled me. Once at a distance he assessed the damage.

"Fuck!" He cursed. I looked up at the trees canopying us. The sky was turning a nice dull blue as the sun rose. Flickers of pink as well. I was dying.

Taking my hand in his. Ghostface placed a red like pink, magenta syringe in my hand. It glowed.

"A killer can't give this to a survivor but you can take it yourself! Please! Inject it now or you will die."

"Megan,"

Mother? Please I can't take anymore.

"Megan."

The voice was getting closer.

"Megan." I snapped out of it, eyes opening as ghostface cradled my head. "Inject it now, you're running out of time."

Gripping the syringe I stick it into my side. The contents immediately go in. The burn from it was intense. I winced but not long after the pain in my chest started to soothe. A cooling sensation rushed through me and I felt my breath catch my first pain free intake of air.

"I thought you were dead for a moment there." Ghostface laid back on the grass. My head still on his lap. I look over at him as I lift myself. My chest was healed. His arm going across his mask. "I should slaughter every one of those fuck heads in there."

"Let's just leave." I croaked. Ghostface sat up a bit to look at me.

"I would slaughter them 100% if my cloak didn't regenerate. That bloody hole was huge." He choked on the last part and got up, he coughed to hide his voice from me. I noticed though.

"Fine let's go." He grabbed my arm helping me up. We quickly left that area.

After a few days of walking we reached a large abandoned building. An old Asylum. It looked spooky from the outside looking in. I huddled near ghostface.

"Are you actually scared? After everything you've been through. An abandoned building gets you?" He crosses his arms looking up and around. Scoping the place out.

"It's a big building, abandoned too. Couldn't there be a ghost or something!"

Ghostface chucked. "Sure... hahahaha. How about we go find a room to sleep in for the night. If you give me the first sleep. I can watch us tonight, does that sound good?"

I nod my head.

"Alright. Perfect." He clapped his hands together once and headed inside. I followed after him.

The asylum was not as dark as I had first thought. Light pooled in from the windows. Ghostface led us into the farthest room. In that room was bed, filthy and gross looking. In the cabinet though, we found 4 white sheets. They had turned beige from the dust and age of the material.

"I'll go find us something to eat. I saw a rabbit out there in the front. After I catch it and cook it, you in." Ghostface asked leaning towards me a little. Hands on his hips. My eyes travel down his naked torso. I was trying not to look at him since my drunken kiss. My cheeks flushed and turn towards making the bed.

"Sure! Sounds good." I feel more embarrassed as the rushed words leave my mouth. I can't believe I was crushing this hard. It wasn't like me. I didn't like anyone.

When I turned around, he had already gone off. Once the sheets were laid and tucked under the mattress. I decided to look around, I made sure not to go far. In one room that looked like a nurses office. I found a magenta syringe. Its glow caught my eye from inside the drawer. This would come in handy! As I reached the room that we had chosen for the night. Ghostface was headed down the hall towards me. We met at the exact time in the door way. He had the rabbit and it was cooked.

The sun was starting to set now as we finished the last of the meat. Or should I say he did. With not much time to go till dark he laid down on his back, the mattress squeaked as he settled in. He was snoring in no time and I sat looking at the walls. At the window. At the door frame. I listened to the crickets and the silence. I placed my chin on my knees and waited. The suns shadow disappeared and blue light filtered into the space. The shadow in the hallway was starting to spread and change as the dark took over. Soon I wouldn't be able to see much at all.
