I did not just-
Um-
How on earth could I even-
I mean- I have chosen a different bar what the heck?!
Okay, calm down girl.
Just smile, keep smiling girl, smile.
He may seem fine and all but reading him through his eyes, I can see how profoundly perplexed, flabbergasted and distressed he is.
Every freaking emotion available is painted on all over his face.
He's petrified and so am I.
But at least he can compose himself, while I'm struggling to not twist my freaking facial expression being watched by these men's prying eyes.
Jeez, I'm probably looking like I'm holding back my shit right now.
"Hi, what can I get for uh... You?" I timorously walk over to the nearest man, asking him while trying to ignore the unrelenting gaze Damon is shooting at me sitting on the opposite side.
Oh jeez, these gazes I'm receiving, they are so uncomfortable! Ugh.
I know I would also stare at someone too when they do something in front of me but- well, I hate being in a position like this.
"... And lastly, give me a bottle of champagne, thank you." A phrase of something slaps me out of my daydream.
"I- I'm sorry?" I force out a strained smile, shifting on my feet awkwardly.
Did- did I just freaking miss hearing his order?
"I want a bottle of champagne, thank you." He repeats the sentence that I have already heard.
Okay, like- um... I wanted to hear everything from the start man.
"Can you uh... Tell me again, everything?" I press my lips together and accentuate the word 'everything', occasionally shifting my focus away from his eyes out of uneasiness.
"Oh, okay, I would like to get..." He starts articulating every word loud and clear as if I'm a kid learning English in kindergarten.
I have no choice but to nod my head at every pause he takes, I can't tell him to speak normally because it may make things even more awkward.
"A... Sazerac, a Vesper-"
A sasa what?
"Wait, hold on." I make a stop sign with my hand, causing him to stop speaking to stare at me.
"I'm sorry but a sa... Saz... Shh... Sa what??" I can't help but express my confusion through a scowled face in regard to my first time hearing these names.
He sighs, glancing at the other men as they all look like they are holding back judgments towards me, before turning back to me again with visible irritation.
Just as he is about to say something with his mouth open, I give him the book and the pen. "Actually, can you like- write your order into this?"
I'm the worst waitress ever.
I try to casually shake the embarrassing feelings off my shoulders by putting on a fake gleeful smile, glancing at the other men while waiting for him to finish writing.
My prying gaze then somehow finds its way towards where Damon is sitting.
