Blame Me

Chapter I

I went back to the usual...

I was walking to the bus stop again for school after 2 weeks of the horrible school vacation. I kept on walking and walking onto the 250 meter pavement. instead of turning right on the bus stop that is 10 meters away from the corner of the street from where I'am standing, I continued walking crossing the road, looking straight forward, not minding what ever else is around me. Cars are moving but i didn't care. I heard a long beep of one of the cars that passed behind me as I reached the middle of the road that has a narrow isle. 

Someone held my arm. I decided to stop in the isle and thought who it was. Heart beating in my chest, butterflies in my stomach, scribbles in my brain, who on earth held my arm and stopped me from this rebellious thing?!

 I looked at my arm seeing a massive hand holding it, i tilted my head and saw a reflection of my pullover with the school logo on, i turned my head up slowly, seeing his Adam's apple, and turned up a little bit more seeing his blue eyes staring on mine. 

It's Mateo. -- the guy who is in my PE class in semester one that barely talks to me, also, we catch the same bus and waits at the same bus stop --

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF?!" he shouted - in a way that he cares -

"maybe" I whispered. 

and then i started to cry out loud 

"they keep on blaming me for something i didn't do" i said this on repeat couple of times. I continued crying.

He escorted me back to the bus stop as we crossed the road with his arm wrapped around my back. In couple of seconds, I heard the bus coming and cried even more. He hailed the bus so we can take a ride already. He asked for my bus card so he can swipe it for me.

As the door opened:

"Is your girlfriend alright?" the bus driver asked looking at us

Girlfriend?! what?! I barely even know him I only know his name that's all.

"Yeah, She's alright". Mateo replied not even minding that the driver called me his girlfriend

"Sit at the back with me" he whispered on my ear after he swiped my card

I can see the eyes of the mortal people in the bus looking at us as we took our sit at the back and he calmed me down.

"stop crying, everything is going to be fine" he said as he wiped my tears away

Few more tears and i stopped. Still, his arm is wrapped around my back moving his hand up and down.

8 bus stops after. Here she comes. Straightened hair, brunette, hazel brown eyes, pale skin, slim, wearing the same clothing as mine right now only except that she's wearing a purple jacket... The girl i reckon is his girlfriend. She always sit at the back with Mateo everyday. She looks like a mean girl but I don't really know. I'am not judging. It's just, that is what I think of her. I don't care about her anyway, I don't even know her name. I'm not interested with her life! as she walks heading to us, she was staring at me until she reached the end

"Hey Amber!" Mateo greeted

Oh, so Amber is her name.

"Oh hi!" she replied

"this is Ally, we were on the same PE class on the first semester and uhm, we catch the bus on the same bus stop"

Oh, so he noticed that I was in his class -- well of course he does! There are only 20 people in that class though -- well, at least he knows me. If you're wondering how he knew my name and I knew his it is because once, when we were waiting for the bus I asked him if we need to bring our PE stuffs for the next day and I asked for his name and he asked for mine couple of seconds after i asked for his.

"Hi Ally! nice to meet you" she greeted me with a pretty face as she shook my hand

"hey" I replied

"Are you alright?" Mateo asked me in a small voice

Do I look like I still cried? Amber might notice

"Yeah, I guess I'am" I replied looking at his sparkling eyes

"Perhaps you want to hang out with us on recess or lunch, maybe both its first day of term 3 anyway, its always nice to make new friends!" Amber offered me 

I guess she's not mean at all. She looks nice 

"That'll be great!" I said in a soft voice and paused

"I'll hang out with you guys at lunch, I have to be with my friends at recess though." I continued

"Well, I guess Mateo knows where to find you before lunch starts? Mateo?" she said looking at Mateo

"I'll meet you after class, before lunch starts, at your locker" He said as he turned on me

Wait, what? at your locker?! He knows where my locker is?

"Yeah, cool, I'll see you then."

4 bus stops before school, their other friends -- Mateo and Amber's friends -- stepped in the bus

"Heyyyy! new girl aye" one of them said

"This is Isaac and Mike" Mateo introduced.

"This is Ally" He continued

"Hey Ally pleasure to meet you" Isaac said as he offered his hand for a shake

"You too" I replied.

We got off the bus seeing the school grounds saying 

"Ughhh back to den again" one of them said

We crossed the road and I'am, unexpectedly, walking with this group of people. Amber on my left, Mateo on my right, Isaac and Mike ahead of us. Amber walked fast so she can catch up with the other two guys, Isaac and Mike, leaving me and Mateo behind. Me and Mateo were left on track and he walked slow that is something I have to deal with.

"Are you sure you're alright now? He asked in a soft voice

"Yeah, I guess" I replied

But NO I'am NOT

"You don't seem that you are" He said looking at my eyes

Is it still really obvious

I kept silent.

"Well I guess I'll see you later lunch?" He added

"Yeah, you will, see you" I replied as we left our good bye
