I awaken in a dark room, with a tall figure standing right in front of me..
My head is still spinning, and I'm extremely dizzy. With all my strength, I titled my head up to the irregularly tall figure. He's glancing at me from above, with a curious look on his face. Then, he opened his mouth.
' Ah, sorry. I'm not trying to stare at you or anything, but I'm just wondering if you're okay.. '...Okay? How would I be okay? I literally cannot remember what the fuck just happened! Why am I in this weird, gloomy room? I'm supposed to be in Hopes Peak, right? What's with all the objects on the ground?
All I could do was think. But I quickly remembered that I can't just not respond to this oddly muscular guy in front of me, who's glaring at me with his head tilted. So I opened my mouth, even though I had no clue myself if I was okay or not.
' I, dunno. But thanks for asking.. ' I itched my head, staring at him. He had black hair, a black blazer on with a white undershirt, black trousers and leather shoes on. His hands were covered with rings and tattoos,He seemed like quite fancy guy, but I'm not into all that.
Looks aside, I needed to figure out where the heck I was. I can't just sit around in confusion all day..
Suddenly, he opened his mouth again. ' I'm glad your okay, just be careful. There's something off about this place.. ' He stared at me with a curious look, then turned his head and glanced around the room.I looked down at the ground beside me and noticed a crimson red carpet, with some sort of vintage pattern on it. On top of that carpet, were small shards of glass scattered across the ground.
There were also unlit candles scattered across the floor aswell, some tipped over, some standing up tall.' Kenji, let's go explore. ' A slim figure walked into the room, folding her arms and looking at the figure in front of me. Kenji.. an odd name. ' Wait, ..Kenji. Do you know where we are? '
I asked curiously, hoping for some sort of useful answer.' I mean, this doesn't seem like a classroom.. ' I added. The girl rested her arms to her sides, and opened her mouth to speak. ' We don't know. However, we think it is just some sort of trick the academy has organised for us. '
'Thanks, Kenji. ' I scoffed, sarcastically. She then rolled her eyes, turned around, and dragged Kenji into the next room. Is she some kind of touchy girlfriend or something? She must be super overprotective..
Aside from that oddly protective girl, I stood up and began examining the room. There were paintings of somewhat royal looking people hung up on the wallpaper. Above my head, was an enormous chandelier with cobwebs stretching from one side to the other.
' Strange... ' I mumbled to myself. ' Indeed. ' A high pitched voice emerged from behind me.
' KYAH! ' I screamed in shock. It was a short girl, with short pink hair. She was wearing a stripy pink and white top, with a white denim dress coated with tiny little pastel bows over it.' I'm sorry if I scared you, hehe! ' She giggled, covering her mouth with her hand. Aside from her cutesie style, she had numerous bandages and bruises across her hand. I didn't want to be rude though and question her, so I stayed silent.
' Sorry, let me introduce myself. I'm Aika Taruno. I'm the Ultimate Toy Maker! ' She brightly grinned at me. Toy Maker.. maybe that explains all the injuries on her hand.
' It's nice to meet you, Aika. I'm Hanako Hamasaki, I'm the Ultimate - ' Then my body froze. What was my ultimate again? Shit.. I can't just leave her on the spot. ' I - I'm sorry, might I be able to tell you my ultimate later? ' I mumbled quietly, in a somber tone.
I felt bad. She'd told me her ultimate with such a passionate tone, and I couldn't even remember mine..' Oh, that's okay! Is something up? ' She tilted her head, with a soft smile. ' No, I just.. can't remember at the moment. Wait.. ' Suddenly, something appeared into my head. Ballet.. Ballet!
' Right! Sorry about that, I'm the Ultimate Ballerina! ' I clenched my fists and raised them above my head. Whoops, looks like I got way too confident there...Aika awkwardly giggled. ' I'm glad you remembered, Hanako. It's nice to meet you. Well, I'll continue exploring this place.. would you like to accommodate me? ' she giggled, raising her hand to her chin. ' Sure..!' I stuttered, slightly grinning.
Then, she froze and just stared right at me. There was something off about that look. It gave me the chills. ' Are.. you okay? ' I stuttered, nervously. ' Oh, sorry. I think I- Never mind, come on, let's go explore. ' She rested her arms to her hips.
Then, she started to walk. I followed along but, I was immediately struck to my thoughts.Did I do something wrong? Whatever, I can find out later. Right now, my main focus is trying to figure out what kind of ' trick ' this is that the academy organised...
We left the room, and in front of us, was a long, long hallway. Again, it followed the vintage theme in the room we we're just in, and hung on the wall were antique candles lit under the cracked ceiling.
In the hallway, inspecting one of the candles which appeared to be broken, was a slim male with short neon-green hair, a pair of cargos splattered with multiple splotches of colourful paint, a pair of dirty sneakers and a baggy t-shirt that was almost twice his size.
Suddenly, his head turned towards us. He waved his arm in the air. ' Sup! ' he exclaimed, moving forward near us. Aika stepped forward and began to speak crazily, ' Hello, I'm Aika Taruno! Ultimate Toy Maker, pleased to make your acquaintance! ' - as if she was some sort of fan girl or something.
' I'm the biggest fan of all your work, it's truly extravagant! ' She bowed her head at him like a thousand times in a row. ' Hah, calm down! Your my classmate now, but I appreciate you being a fan! ' He smiled.
I feel super confused.. I have no clue who this guy is. ' Uhm, who are you? Sorry.. ' I muttered under my breath, with a concerned expression on my face. He chuckled, and Aika's eyes widened. ' KYAH! You don't know who he is?! ' She screamed, pointing her finger at me.
' Am I.. supposed to? ' I tilted my head, my cheeks turning red from embarrassment.
