Fade to a sunrise over the savanna. Cut to Simba and Kiara sitting on the promontory of Pride Rock.
Simba: Everything the light touches is part of our kingdom, the Pride Lands. Ruling it is a big responsibility, Kiara, [Simba ducks down to Kiara's level.] and someday, when you're queen-
Kion: [from offscreen] Heads up! Incoming!
A baobab fruit bounces off Simba's head.
Simba: Oh!
Kiara: Kion!
Kion bounds past Simba and Kiara.
Kion: Oh! *laughs nervously* [Kion pauses next to the fallen baobab fruit.] Sorry, Dad. Me and Bunga were playing baobab ball, and-
Bunga bounds past Simba and Kiara.
Bunga: And Kion couldn't handle the pass!
Kion: What?! [Bunga picks up the baobab fruit.] A giraffe couldn't handle it! You kicked it over my head!
Bunga tosses the baobab fruit, and Kion hits Bunga in the chest.
Simba: Kion!
Bunga catches the baobab fruit and hops past Kion.
Bunga: And ya couldn't handle it.
Simba: Bunga...
Kion tackles Bunga. They wrestle for the baobab fruit.
Bunga and Kion: *grunt*
Kiara rolls her eyes.
Kiara: *sighs*
Simba: Boys!
Kion lets go of the baobab fruit, which causes Bunga to fly offscreen.
Bunga: Whoa!
Kion sits next to Simba, his ears drooping.
Simba: Kion. I need to talk to your sister. She'll be tracking gazelles with her friends today.
Kiara: *chuckles* Because I'm training to be-
Kion: Queen of the Pride Lands. Yeah, yeah. I know all about it, Kiara.
Kiara: *scoffs* At least I have my life figured out. What're you going to grow up to be, little brother?
Kion: [smugly] Happy?
Simba: All right, you two. [Simba nudges Kion away from Kiara.] That's enough. Kion, why don't you and Bunga go play somewhere else?
Bunga: Yeah! [Bunga runs past Kion, Simba, and Kiara.] I know the perfect place! [Bunga stands on the edge of the promontory and holds up the baobab fruit.] Hey, Kion! [holding the baobab fruit over his head, in a sing-song voice] Ya never get the baobab fruit, no! Ya never get the baobab fruit, no!
Kion: Ha! You got nowhere to go, Bunga!
Bunga: Says you! [Bunga tosses the baobab fruit off Pride Rock, then jumps after it.] Zuka zama! [Kion runs to the edge of the promontory and watches Bunga fall.] *laughs* [Bunga falls through a tree's branches and lands on the ground.] Catch me if ya can, Kion!
Bunga catches the baobab fruit, then runs off.
Kion: Game on, Bunga! Later, Dad! [Kion runs offscreen.] Have fun tracking those gazelles, Kiara! I gotta get Bunga!
Kiara: *sighs* I can't believe we're related.
Simba: Kion will grow up someday. I hope.
Cut to a wide shot of Pride Rock and the surrounding savanna.
