"What?" Taehyung asked, walking towards the kitchen.
"Made it with love, huh?" Jungkook said, following him.Taehyung laughed lightly, giving Jungkook his back as he placed the cake on the counter. "She's just being friendly," he explained.
"And does a wink count as being friendly?" Jungkook teased, his tone playful.
"Seriously?" Taehyung said, rolling his eyes.
"Did you betray me without even dating me?" Jungkook asked, feigning hurt.
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat at the word 'dating.' He carefully turned around, holding the cake plate, and Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the candles lit atop the cake.
"Happy birthday," Taehyung said softly.
Jungkook was taken aback. "How did you know?" he asked.
"You told me yourself," Taehyung replied with a shy smile.
"I did?" Jungkook asked, trying to recall.
"Back then, you said that you would be released from prison on your birthday. You mentioned that it was an annoying coincidence because you didn't like birthdays," Taehyung reminded him.
"And you still remember that?" Jungkook asked, touched by Taehyung's memory.
Taehyung nodded. "Now blow out the candles before they disappear."
Jungkook leaned in and blew out the candles, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Thank you," he said, his voice filled with gratitude.
Taehyung's eyes sparkled with affection. "I'll make your birthdays happy so you can be happy every single day," he said sincerely.
Jungkook felt a warmth spread through his chest at Taehyung's words. This moment, filled with simple gestures and genuine emotions, felt like the beginning of something beautiful. He reached out, pulling Taehyung into a gentle embrace.
"You already have," Jungkook whispered, holding Taehyung close.
As they held each other close, Jungkook leaned in, his breath warm against Taehyung's ear. He whispered, "But if you want to make me much happier... satisfy me."
A shiver ran down Taehyung's spine, and his eyes widened in surprise. He pushed Jungkook away, his face flushing a deep shade of red. "Hey!" he exclaimed.
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Taehyung stuck his tongue out and said, "In your dreams." Then, with a playful grin, he turned and ran away.
Jungkook laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Come here!" he called, chasing after Taehyung.
They dashed around the living room, their laughter filling the air as they playfully evaded each other. The chase was lighthearted and full of joy, a delightful release after all the tension and hardship they had endured.
Finally, Jungkook caught up to Taehyung, wrapping his arms around him from behind. He held him close, saying, "You won't get away from me."
Taehyung's heart raced, not just from the chase but from the intimacy of the moment. He felt Jungkook's breath on his neck and the strong, reassuring hold of his arms. Slowly, Taehyung turned in Jungkook's embrace, looking into his eyes, both of them breathing heavily from their playful exertion.
