A young raven haired female with light blue grayish eyes stood with her brother and twin sister near the steps as their mother introduced to them a duo of raven haired males with ruby eyes. The younger one didn't look all that interested in being there as the elder looked rather unamused at the situation at why they were there for.

"Laxus, Shyla, Shylin I want you three to meet the Cheney family Skia and Rogue's family was helped out by your father and grandfather before your father was taken from us. It is almost to the age where their family must take up their contracted oath to our family. It will be up to him as to which one of the two girls end up being with him. So I wish for the both of you to be nice to the kid alright?"

Shyla and Shylin looked at one another before Shylin went up to Rogue with a sweet smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you Rogue, I'm Shylin the youngest." She said happily

"Whatever, I don't care."

Rogue was then smacked upside the head by his father. "Be nice. I know you hate that you're here and that you have to do this, but I don't wish to owe this family. So be on your best behavior or you will see where that gets you."

Rogue glared at his father but rubbed the back of his head before he looked back at Shylin. "I'm not a people person, I don't trust easily. There's only one person who I trust and that's it."

"Let me guess you're partner in crime in school Sting Eucliffe right? You two get into more trouble than be in classes."The raven haired female said unamused with her arms crossed

Rogue instantly looked at the raven haired female with his eyes narrowed. "You must be Shyla, the student body president at school. How does it feel knowing that you have to be around me, a mess up?"

"I don't see you as a mess up-but more on the lines of misunderstood. You do things to get attention since your father doesn't, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that you are just attention starved." She said unamused

He scoffed. "So you are as smart as people make you out to be, can I assume you want nothing to do with me then?"

"Assume or don't assume, you'll never know my real intentions or thoughts with that crap attitude you have. Just know if you dare talk to me in school I won't be this nice to you. You've given me no reason to do so with how harsh and mean you were to my baby sister."

"Aww is the little girly upset that I was blunt with her little sister?" Rogue said in a teasing tone

Shyla looked at her mother. "Can I please?"

Her mother let out a sigh before looking at the elder male who nodded his head, her mother then looked back at Shyla. "Go on."

"Thank you!" She said before she went up to the male and she punched him straight in the gut before kicking him down to the ground without a single thought

In doing so stunned not only Rogue but Skia as well. Shyla glared down at Rogue as he was too stunned to get up. "You may not know what it's like to have siblings or what it's like to have someone to protect-but I do! Shylin has always had people disregard her just because she's sweet and nice to them. She barely has any damn friends in school. She doesn't need someone who barely knows her or her situation being a complete jerk to her! Do what you must for your family to pay back my own, but don't think that Shylin and I will willingly be around you after what you've just displayed." Shyla said coldly before she went to her sister and hugged her tightly. "Are you okay sis?"

Shylin nodded her head as she hugged her sister. "I'm okay...at least for now."

"Good, I don't want to see you in tears."
