The Academy was far more impressive than he had imagined. It was nowhere near the magnificent buildings in the Corsidi but it was far more advanced than the rest of the region of Wofford.

Authorized artifacts lit the main halls and classrooms.

His classroom was rather charming. He was expecting something rugged and rough, but he supposed it was wrong to assume that, the Academy had once been a palace.

He received his own classroom rather than sharing, all specialty teachers had their own classrooms. As each would no doubt have different projects per the different talents of their students.

A desk sat to the right of a large chalkboard, and individual lab stations for the students went up different platforms of the main room.

He found he liked teaching. His students were bright and eager to learn. So many grasping at the feeling of a home that they had never seen. It reminded him of his true task, to bring them home, to make sure no more would be Nameless. There were also side tasks assigned to him, keeping watch on the returned Adeena Nesrin and watching over the Starlight Soul Vienna Thorne.

The first time he saw Vienna Thorne in person he was coming out of the classroom, deciding to take a walk in the gardens of the Academy before his next class began. She was running down the halls her brown hair falling in wisps around her face, her eyes catching sight of someone behind him. He turned to see her skid to a halt before his fellow artificer, Zephyr Soren.

"Sir you wouldn't happen to know where the merchant specialty class is? I'm afraid I'm rather lost."

Perhaps she had a better sense of direction with greenery and trees. Perhaps Vienna Thorne found herself lost when surrounded by stone and mortar he thought.

Soren's paperwork fell from his hands as she came upon him and she was quick to help him pick things up but he seemed to freeze when their hands brushed. His gaze drifted off into the distance.

Vienna sat back but she didn't try to wake him.

Curious he came up from behind, "How odd, shouldn't we wake him?"

She startled not realizing someone was behind her, "Sir, you frightened me."

"I apologize." He bowed his deep violet head and adjusted his spectacles. Light lilac eyes peering through them.

Vienna cleared her throat and shook her head, "I should have been more aware of my surroundings." She glanced at Professor Soren. "My father gets like this sometimes, I believe it will pass in a little bit."

"Could I then direct you to your class, Miss Thorne?"

"Thank you, Professor..." Her brown eyes blinked as she looked up at him.

He bowed, "Professor Ralph Silvaine, at your service."
