last wish

dear diary,

my wife Christina just had a baby. it was a boy and I have always wanted a boy. he has blue eyes like her mom but a nose like me, big. when he came out she cried for so long I didn't think she would. the baby has the cutest belly ever, kind of awkward to say but it was so cute you just want to squeeze it. when I held him in my arms she snuggled into my chest. it was a good moment for me. he held onto my grabbed my shirt and tried to put it over him. the doctor said he needs to be warm and put in a room. I was really sad but I kissed him one more time and watched him leave. when he left Christina asked me What we should name him. we were always procrastinators so we never really named him. I almost forgot she was there the way she was so silent so when I looked up she looked really tired. she was still beautiful tho. her eyes still had the sparkle they always did and you could tell, even if she was about to pass out she was happy. her hair looked really nice today. it was curly and had a little bounce in it, it looked Well on her. she was wearing a red outfit on. which she new was my favorite color in the world. and her fingernails had pink and red pokadots on them, which was a plus. when she snapped me back into life she asked again What we should name him. I suggested a bunch of names, Skipper, Jeremiah, Carl, Cooper Dylan. all of which she said no to, and a couple laughed at. the room was silent then her eyes got big as she said "I got it! Chris!" she squealed. I thought it was funny how it is almost like her name but I would never said that to her face. I told her it was great and kissed her forehead right as the doctor came back in. "Oh sorry just picking up some papers" he said. he left soon after and again it was just her and me. I kept thinking to myself 'why me why me why mee ' Yes I had the perfect life so far, I had a perfect wife a perfect baby with great health, a perfect childhood and everything was great. I just wish it all didn't have to disappear.
