Sometimes people make hard choices to follow their dreams, that is what Taehyung did.

When he was 16, his parents kicked him out because they had a huge problem with him being gay. He lived with his grandma, such a sweet person, until he graduated from high school.

She lived in a whole other city, so he had to leave his friends behind. But that was ok, at least he was safe and loved.

Taehyung was accepted at SNU; he was over the moon. His dream was to become an architect. He moved to Seoul with his little savings and help from his grandma and found a small bachelor apartment.

He immediately found a part time job as he would have to pay for his own studies. Grandma helped where she could, but Tae did not expect her to spend what little she had on him.

Through his job at a diner, he met Jennie and Lisa. They were regulars. The three became friends. Through them, Taehyung was introduced to the world of escorting. Both girls did this to put themselves through university.

Taehyung was shocked at first. What he knew about escorts was not good. But they showed him that it is totally different from what he thought.

He had an interview at the agency and found it professional and caring. After some thought, he decided to accept the offer. He could specify his likes and dislikes, what he was willing to allow and what were hard limits. He had no problem accompanying the clients but drew a very clear line at any sexual activity. His profile showed that, so anyone that wanted to book him, knew before the time that he was a companion only. Nothing further. There were different "packages" to choose from. The minimum, just show up, spend 2 hours with the client, then the booking was done. One package that lasted up to four hours. And the maximum, was for 12 hours. Even then, the rules applied.

Tae has done this for 3 and a half years already. He managed to move into a one-bedroom apartment, he paid his study fees and managed to put away quite a fair amount of savings.

Of course, some clients did try to get more out of the deal, but Tae never budged.

One of his "regular" clients, a CEO by the name of Kang Jihoon, really tried, showering Tae with gifts and promises of holidays, but Tae politely refused. He did not like Jihoon. He was arrogant and thought everybody should be falling at his feet. Tae tolerated him as a client, as he always paid the maximum.

With 6 months before his finals, Tae decided that he would resign as escort in 5 months. To be free for his exams.

Jennie and Lisa have already finished their studies. Both left the escort agency as well and got great jobs. The three remained friends.

Our story starts 5 months before Tae is leaving the agency.
