They got out, cameras flashing, reporters trying for attention and a quick talk, but Jungkook navigated the situation with ease. This was not his first time after all.

Finally, inside the foyer, they were offered glasses of champagne, which both accepted with thanks. Jungkook's hand was on the small of Tae's back the whole time as they mingled with other CEO's and obviously rich and important people. Jungkook introduced Tae to everyone as his date. On enquiry as to Taehyung's work, it was mentioned that he is in his final year studying architecture. How they met? A mutual friend. How long they have been together? A smile with "none of your business" All this was discussed on the drive over.

After about an hour of mingling, they finally found their seats at a table. The people they were seated with, were friends and associates of Jungkook, and the conversation flowed. Many topics were discussed, and Tae could actually join in the conversations, as he had a broad common knowledge.

The food was incredible, and they enjoyed the evening.

Jungkook made sure Tae was comfortable the whole time. He would give the blond small touches on his back, leaning in to ask if he needed more wine, if he was ok. He could not help himself. This man has him entranced. He has never felt such a connection. But he also understood that tonight was not real, it was Taehyung's job to make him feel important and supported. The smiles and winks were all practised to make sure the client had the best experience.

Jungkook wondered what Taehyung would be like out of this setting, just his normal everyday life. And he wanted to know... Why? He had absolutely no idea. He has never had any interest in getting to know someone outside his friend group. This was different for him.

He was so lost in his thoughts, staring at the blond, he didn't realise that everyone was staring at him, waiting for an answer to a question they asked. Shaking himself mentally, he smiled and apologised, getting teased a bit by the others at the table, all of them understanding how he got lost in the blond's features.

They danced later. Taehyung felt butterflies and heat in his body, as he was held close to the muscular body of the elder. When Jungkook's leg slipped between his thighs, Taehyung nearly combusted. This was not good, he needed to remain professional. So he went through one of his boring subjects in his head, trying to get his mind off the feeling of all those muscles wrapping around him.

They finally sat down, and Tae could feel his cheeks burning. Jungkook sat with arm across the back of Tae's seat, his hand playing softly with his shoulder and soft hair where it curled over his collar.

The feeling of euphoria was then broken by the one person Taehyung didn't want to see. Kang Jihoon came walking up to the table with a smirk. "Well, hello Taehyung, long time no see. I wondered where you disappeared to the last month or so." Tae looked up at this disgusting man. "Hello Mr Kang, I am surprised to see you here, didn't think such an exclusive event would be graced (sarcastic) with your presence" Kang's smirk was wiped off and fury took over, but he hid it quickly. "Well, yes, of course I will be here, I am a very successful CEO after all. And I know how you got to be here, so maybe shut that smart mouth of yours if you don't want others to know your little secret." "My date knows exactly how I am here and as for you; your opinion is not something him or me are interested in. And Mr Kang (closer to his face and in a whisper) you know what you signed, don't give me reason to call the agency." Sitting back, he smiled "Good evening to you, Mr Kang"

When the despicable man left, Jungkook looked at Taehyung. He could feel the stress in his shoulders. He leaned in "Are you ok, Taehyung? Would you rather we leave?" Tae took a deep breath and put his smile back on, looking at Jungkook. "No, Jungkook, we don't need to do that, it has been handled and the rest of the night is to enjoy." Jungkook was not stupid, he saw how affected Tae was. He was just glad they were alone at the table when that worm was there. He did not want Taehyung embarrassed by that garbage. "Come, let's go dance" Jungkook pulled Tae up and they went to the dancefloor, Jungkook's hand on Tae's waist the whole time. A slower song played and Jungkook pulled Taehyung into his body, his arms around the small waist. Tae linked his arms behind Jungkook's neck, his head on his shoulder, slowly moving with the music. He felt the tension leaving his body. It was not the first time something like this happened to him, and he has learned quickly how to handle it. But for some reason this time he was really upset.

Jungkook smelled the strawberry scent of Tae's shampoo, he thinks it might be his new favourite smell. He felt the slim body relaxing into him. Deep inside, Jungkook was really pissed at that Kang, but he knew he could not do anything, Tae had to handle the verbal confrontation himself. If it went further, he would have stepped in, but he understood Tae would not want a scene.

The party started to wind down at around half past 2 in the morning. Jungkook took Tae's hand and left the hall, saying goodbye to everyone, who waved back and included Tae, with hopes of meeting again.

They got back into the limo and Jungkook told the driver to drive to the river about an hour away. They stopped at a 24/7 McDonald's on the way, the server wide eyed at the limo going through the drive through, making Tae giggle at the confused face. Jungkook absolutely loved that sound.

They ate their food and drank their milkshakes. When they parked at the river, Jungkook and Tae got out, leaving the driver to have his food. They walked hand in hand on the path next to the river, talking all the time. After walking for who knows how long, Jungkook turned Tae towards him, taking him in his arms. "It has almost been 12 hours, just a few more minutes, then our contract is completed. It has been I think the most amazing time of my life. Thank you, Taehyung." Tae looked up into the black eyes, flippin handsome man... "I had a great time as well, thank you, Jungkook." They just stood and stared at each other, saying nothing. The clock over the bridge chimed 5, 12 hours since the contract began. Jungkook leaned in and kissed those pink lips that has been calling him the whole night. He expected Tae to pull away, his half ass apology ready in his mind, but to his surprise, Taehyung didn't, in fact, he leaned into the kiss and opened his mouth. Jungkook immediately pulled him closer and dived in, tasting the sweet honey. He revelled in the softness of the pink petals.

A small sigh escaped Tae's mouth. Holy shit, he has never been kissed like this in his whole life. His hands buried in the soft hair at Jungkook's nape, and he felt his knees go weak.

The kiss lasted a few minutes, neither wanting it to end.

Finally, Jungkook pulled away, he opened his eyes to look at the flushed face with closed eyes of the blond. The pink lips were swollen and wet. Tae's blue eyes finally opened, staring into the black ones.

"Tae..."Jungkook just whispered, he didn't want this spell to break. Taehyung's eyes widened. NO! what just happened. He broke his own golden rule. He stepped back, eyes a little wide.

Jungkook, seeing the realisation hit Taehyung, didn't try to hold him back.

"Tae...this was not a mistake. I can see in your face you think it was, but it was not. We are not on the clock now, we are just two people who had a very special moment. Please..." Jungkook stopped, he didn't know how to put what he felt into words.

Tae cleared his throat, looking anywhere but at Jungkook. "It's ok, Jungkook, it was just a surprise...I think. But I need to get home now, I still have assignments to finish before tomorrow, and I guess you need to catch up on sleep as well."

Jungkook sighed. This is what he didn't want to happen. He should have controlled himself. His actions ruined a perfect evening and the hope he has been harbouring to meet Tae out of the formal setting.

They walked back to the limo in silence. The ride back to Tae's apartment was silent as well.

When they stopped in front the apartment building, Tae finally looked at Jungkook. "Thank you Jungkook, for an amazing experience. And...I am not sorry or angry about the kiss. It was incredible, thank you." He leaned forward and gave Jungkook a proper hug, Jungkook pulled him in as close as he could. Smelling the strawberry shampoo for the last time, he finally let go. "Thank you, Kim Taehyung, for being such an amazing human being, for sharing your precious gifts with me tonight. This was the best night of my life." Tae smiled wide, making him even more beautiful. Then got out, waved and walked into the apartment building. Standing by the lift, he felt a twinge of sadness as he saw the limo drive away.
