If you were to ask me the type of person I am I wouldn't know what to say. I'm just an ordinary girl who lives in a boring town.
Im Audrey, I'm a 16 year old girl who lives in a town called Derry. Every adult I've talked to has told me that my teenage years will be the best years of my life, unfortunately for me though, my life hasn't really been that exciting. I live alone with my mum who's always working, and my father left when I was young. My only friend for the longest time was my older sister, Grace. When I turned 13 my body started to change because of puberty, luckily for me Grace was there to make sure I knew what was happening to me. She showed me how to do things like makeup, how to talk to boys, and even how to steal from the liquor store. Grace is 5 years older than me though, so as soon as she turned 18 she left me and my mum in this shitty town.
In school I'm pretty popular amongst the girls in my year. It's great because it means I don't have any enemies or any girls who hate me for no reason. Unfortunately the boys in my year see me as a target, someone they can pick on. They tease me and try to get with me even when I tell them not to. From an outside perspective it seems great that a lot of boys seem to want me. But it sucks. I can never tell is they want to be my friend or if they just want me. For this reason I haven't been in a relationship. I haven't even kissed a boy.
That takes me to another group in school, Bowers gang. This group consisted of Henry Bowers, Vic, Belch, and Patrick Hocksetter. They are all crazy. They love to torment students and make everyone's school year shit.
I hate them.~~~~
Monday morning - first day of schoolI woke up and looked to my alarm clock and saw 8:50 am. It's the first day back at school and I'm already late. I quickly wake up and put on an outfit. It's boiling outside so I put on a skirt and tank top.
( u can change the outfit if u don't like it <3 )I quickly brush my teeth, put shoes on, grab my bag and head out the door. Thankfully, I live pretty close to my school, so getting there wasn't too hard. Arriving to school I walk to my locker to grab my history textbook. As I hear the bell ring I head to homeroom. Homeroom is my favourite class, yes it's not an actual "class" but it's the only one I have with my friend, Beverly.
"Hey Bev" I say as I sit down waiting for the teacher to take attendance.
"Hey Audrey" she says with a smile. After a bit of small talk the bell rings and I make my way to my history class.Walking into my class I scan the room so see who is in the class and where I can sit. Unfortunately for me the only seat left is at the back right of the class next to Patrick Hocksetter.
"Fuck this" I whisper under my breath as I take a seat and keep my head down. I notice his friend Henry sitting next to him on the other side of him.
This is just great, a shitty class with shitty people in it. The teacher walks in and takes attendance. "Patrick and Henry I've been informed by the other teachers that you to can't sit next to each other " the teachers says.Damm class only just started and they are already gonna get into trouble. everyone assumed that the two boys would get mad but I guess it's just too early in the morning. The teacher begins talking again " Patrick I'd like you to swap seats with Audrey". Oh no I think to myself as I get up not wanting to make any trouble. Patrick stands up and we swap seats as he stares me down. I'll admin I felt a bit scared.
As class started I was trying to keep to myself. Being in between both boys made me feel weird, Patrick was using a lighter to burn the corner of his desk while Henry was using a knife to carve words into his desk.
"Hey pretty girl" my head snaps to the side and I see Patrick staring at me. " your Audrey, right?" He says.
" yeah that's me" I didn't know what to say. He called me pretty and I stoped listening to the teacher. Now my focus was on him."I've seen you around school and town" he replied.
" oh yeah, I've seen you around as well" I replied.
" your friends with Beverly right?"
"Yes, we're not that close though" I tired my best to sound confident when I spoke.
he pushed his desk a bit closer to mine When I heard Henry's voice coming from the other side of me " hey you should come with us to the junkyard after school"
I didn't want to go, I barely know the boys but it's not like I have actual friends " sure I'll come"
