In the Heat of Battle.
Bedivere moved with grace amidst the chaos of the battlefield. His golden spear, a blur to the naked eye, danced like flames, cutting through the ranks of the Ice Silver Fox cavalry. Unfortunately, the Ice Silver Fox riders had no time to admire this deadly beauty.
Behind Bedivere, a hundred golden knights surged forward, a wave of gold rolling across the silver ice plain. Where the golden wave passed, the Ice Silver Fox formations were effortlessly divided. The rest of the Golden Knights were divided into teams of ten, with three teams making up a group. The front team continued to break through the enemy lines, cutting out a dozen or so cavalrymen from the already chaotic enemy formation, and ambushing them together with the two teams that followed closely behind. In a matter of moments, they had completely wiped out these Ice Silver Fox knights. Then, they repeated the process, dividing and surrounding, in an orderly manner.
Amidst the golden wave, Dorian and his companions stood out like colorful debris in a clear stream. The Dragon and Beauty mercenaries were a motley crew, their disorganized appearance and lack of uniformity starkly contrasting with the disciplined knights around them. Despite their disparate appearance, their combat effectiveness was noteworthy.
Not to mention the Twelve Knights of the Round Table approaching the terrifying power of the Holy Knights and the outstanding combat capabilities of the Golden Lion Knights, even the Ice Silver Fox knights were considered strong. Facing a formidable enemy, they remained calm and showed their unwavering knightly spirit. Without Dorian and his group, this battle could also be seen as a classic example of knightly warfare.
Dragon and Beauty, however, were different. A group of timid mercenaries huddled around the wounded, staying far from the battlefield.
Following Dorian were more than fifty cavalrymen. As long as they saw an opportunity, they would surround five or six Ice Silver Fox knights and attack mercilessly. Everyone rushed forward with bravery, spears in the front and swords in the back, all kinds of weapons striking at both humans and horses. It was a real melee. There were even some who came from a swordsmanship background and only took on the role of a cavalryman today. They were so caught up in the thrill of battle that they charged straight at their opponents on horseback, and the two of them rolled on the ground. This Dragon and Beauty mercenary immediately used his old trick of being a market rogue before joining the army.
Dorian was commanding with confidence, showing his style as a great general and not ashamed of his rogue fighting style. In the chaos of the battlefield, the fat man always led his troops to find small groups of isolated Snow Fox cavalrymen, he skillfully maneuvered his forces to avoid large enemy groups, fight the enemy by outnumbering them. He could be considered a shrewd and strategic military genius, calm and decisive. This battle later became one of Dorian's favorite topics to brag about while drinking, and although some listeners were unimpressed, they couldn't deny it.
As the battle progressed, Dorian became more and more courageous as he fought, leading his troops in constant charges. The fat man somehow got his hands on a crossbow and would shoot it when they encountered Ice Silver Fox cavalrymen, with almost every shot hitting its target within ten meters, mostly horses. Even if there were some misses, Sophia would follow up with her sickle, cutting off the horse's legs. After the Ice Silver Fox knights fell off their horses, the mercenaries from Dragon and Beauty would swarm in and take care of them, easily defeating them with a ten-to-one advantage.
Eric, the Wind Fox Mage, was a little off-kilter, but he was very powerful. Unfortunately, he met the female demon Elysis. Out of jealousy for this beautiful woman, Eric targeted Elysis as soon as the battle started. He sent out several tornadoes with a wave of his hand, and summoned two storm giants over five meters high, formed by a green hurricane. Elysis sent out all black flame balls, but there were more of them. More than twenty black flames flew towards Eric along various trajectories. The black flames in front collided with the tornado sent by Eric and immediately exploded violently. The hurricane mixed with the flames formed a terrifying shock wave, which spread out with a rumble, and people and horses fell to the ground wherever it went, and smoke and dust filled the air.
