TW: Talks of depression and self-harm.

"Jeno." Taeyong calls gently as he nocks on the boys' room. "You've been in your room all day. Why don't you come out and play with the others." No answer.

Taeyong sighs, combing his hands through his hair. He was getting worried. Jeno had been cooped up in his room all day, and the last few days, he's barely interacted with the others. He had even gone to bed early the last few nights.

"Hyung. He's been under his covers all day."

Taeyong turns around to see Mark and Renjun standing there with worry in their eyes.

"He hasn't left his bed since he went to bed last night." Mark adds. "What's going on?'

"Don't worry, kids. I'm going to talk to him. Go find the others and make sure their staying out of trouble."

"Hyung, I'm worried he might hurt himself." Mark says.

"I won't let anything happen to him. Go find the others."

Renjun and Mark give him an unsure look before leaving. Taeyong takes a breath before entering the room. The windows were still closed, making the room dark, and he could see the outline of the kid huddled up under his comforter. He draws the curtains before walking over to the bed.

"Jeno." He says softly as he takes a seat on the bed. He still doesn't get a reply. Jeno just shifts a little under the comforter.

"Jeno, you're worrying me. Please talk to me."

There's a moment of silence before Taeyong sees the lump under the blankets begin to shake and then sobbing. Uncontrolled sobbing.  Taeyong immediately pulls the comforter back and pulls the kid into his arms, hugging him tightly.

"Shh, it's ok. Shhh." He says, holding the kid tight as he continues to cry. Taeyong stares straight ahead, trying to figure out what to say or what to do. Before he can come up with what to do, Jeno says something.

"Hyung. Make it go away." Jeno mumbles.

"Hmm? Make what go away?"

"The pain."

"Can you tell me more about the pain? Is it physical?"

Jeno shakes his head. "I feel numb, no I feel like I'm suffocating. I'm so sad and I don't know how to make it stop."

Taeyng feels his heart shatter at those words. He knows Jeno has depression and has suffered with it a lot in the past, but seeing and hearing the kid like this breaks his heart. And suddenly Marks' concern about Jeno hurting himself became a big worry for himself too.

"Ok. I know. Shh. We're gonna get you help, ok? I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."

"I don't want help. I just want to feel something."

"I know, but sometimes you have to accept that you need help. I'll be with you through it all."

"Do I have to?"

"I'm sorry, kiddo, but yes. I'm worried about you, and so are the others."

Jeno looks into Taeyongs eyes and sees nothing but care and worry. He knows Taeyong isn't going to let this continue. He knows deep down he needs help. The dark thought we're taking control, and it scared him.

"Come on. Get changed, and then we're going to go. I'll give you a couple of minutes to gather what you need. I'll meet you downstairs." Taeyong says, giving Jeno a tight hug before standing up.

Once Taeyong closed the door behind him, Jeno grabbed a hoodie and threw it on over his pajamas. He puts the hood up and gets his shoes on. He then sits on his bed for a few minutes just staring into the abyss.
