Elwia, Pansy, and Astoria were eating breakfast and talking about the Halloween party. The party was going to be today, and it would take place in the Ravenclaw common room. Only 5-7th year students were invited, since there was probably going to be lots of alcohol use. It was originally supposed to be for sixth and seventh-year students only, but the fifth-year students threatened to tell the teachers, so there was no other choice but to let them come.
From the corner of her eye, Elwia saw Malfoy walking towards their table. He didn't even glance at Elwia; instead, he sat down next to some girl. Who was she?
Elwia turned to look at Theo and poked him in the shoulder.
"Theo, who's that girl sitting next to Malfoy?" Elwia asked quietly.
Theo glanced at Malfoy, and muttered, "Oh, shit"
"Um, that's his ex-girlfriend. Flora Carrow, a sixth-year. Although, they weren't actually together, just shagging on and off during the summer." Theo whispered, and for some reason he was looking at Elwia sympathetically.
"Why're you looking at me like that?" Elwia frowned her brows, feeling confused.
"If it makes you feel any better, Malfoy said her head game sucks." Theo shrugged his shoulders while taking a sip of his morning coffee.
"No, what? First of all, I don't give a shit about Malfoy. Second of all, putting down the girl helps with nothing. She's probably a sweet girl, and I don't want to hear secrets about her private life." Elwia whispered and rolled her eyes.
"Sorry, ma'am. I'll stay quiet." Theo put his hands up in surrender, and looked at Elwia for a few seconds, probably trying to analyse the girl's moves, but decided to give up after realising that Elwia was nowhere close to an open book.
Charms class was hell—the literal epitome of hell. Malfoy and Flora decided to sit behind Elwia, and were laughing and whispering the whole time. Elwia couldn't focus on anything that Flitwick was saying.
Elwia also felt annoyed, and not because of the most obvious likely reason. She felt annoyed because she had never heard Malfoy laugh that much before. What was Flora saying that was so damn funny?
Elwia turned around so she was facing Malfoy and Flora, and whisper-shouted, "Can you shut up, I literally can't hear my own thoughts."
"And why would I listen to you?" Malfoy sneered.
"I will literally punch you, don't even try me," Elwia rolled her eyes and turned to look at Flora who had been quietly listening, "Beautiful necklace."
Flora's hands touched the necklace with a surprised face, and the girl said, "Thank you."
Elwia turned back around and started scribbling notes on the piece of parchment. Her writing was getting aggressive and ink was spreading everywhere on the paper. What was making her this angry?
The class ended and Elwia was walking a bit behind from the rest of the group when someone gently poked at her shoulder. Elwia glanced back and saw Flora Carrow looking at her curiously.
"Hey, you're the new girl, right? I mean, not that new. It's been two months, but still." Flora asked.
"Yes, Elwia Delacour." Elwia said with a small smile and continued walking beside Flora.
"Um, I don't know how to ask this, but do you and Draco have something going on?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Elwia looked at the girl, trying to analyse her face impressions.
"No, we don't." Elwia shook her head.
"Oh, okay. Good." Flora smiled.
"Yeah, we have nothing going on. Me and him literally bully each other." Elwia laughed.
