Madhav stood there, behind the cafeteria display counter, his work cap not placed on his head correctly and a bored expression on his face.
Both Madhav and Arjun had gotten accepted into one of India's most prestigious Universities and it had begun a week ago. It was Arjun's "great" Idea that they should have a part time job to earn money on the side, and had forced Madhav to join him in a small, cozy bookstore cafeteria that was a few kilometres away from the University

"Hey Ram, Why the hell did I even agree to doing this shit job with Arjun? I just can't believe that I'm standing here wearing this stupid hat and taking orders. I should have just done something online as a part time job, The only thing I like over here is I can eat chocolate without anybody seeing" He broke another piece of chocolate from the bar in his hand and placed it in his mouth. "MADHAV!!!!" the manager bellowed, "STOP EATING THE CHOCOLATE THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO USE TO BAKE!!"
"Sorry, man"
"NEXT TIME I CATCH YOU DOING THAT I'M GONNA KICK YOU OUT!"
"the things I've gotta do just to earn a little money.." Madhav sighed, putting away the chocolate bar.
His thoughts were interrupted by the chime of the bells at the entrance door. It was a young woman. She wore a pretty Off-shoulder floral dress that ended right above her knees, and a cute bracelet made with flower charms. She was short, and a little chubby. Her hair was raven with red highlights that flowed over her shoulders. Basically, she looked very posh and rich. She came towards him, beaming. Madhav blinked quickly for a moment to make sure he wasn't dreaming of a cute girl just because of his frustration.
"Hi! I would like a cup of Irish coffee please." Her voice was high pitched but soft. She placed the Amount in front of Him before he could even speak, and walked off towards the "Romance novel" section and started looking for a book.
A few minutes later, Madhav took her coffee to go give it to her. He noticed the book she was reading "Pride and Prejudice" and in an attempt to impress her, he cleared his throat and spoke with his deep, raspy voice "Oh, this one's a classic. I love this book."
He had never read the book.
"Really?!!" She said, excited that another person shared the same interests with her. "Err Yeah, anyways bye"
Madhav walked off in a hurry, cussing himself over the interaction that just happened. "What the hell was that..This shall be the first and last time I talk to a girl." he furrowed his brows in frustration and confusion. He was so baffled by what had just happened, as this was his first time he ever felt the need to impress a girl. It was as if she cast some sort of love spell on him with her doe eyes.
The girl stared off into the distance, wondering what the heck just happened as well. She turned to look at him but he hurriedly ran off inside the area which was inaccessible to customers. She shrugged it off and continued reading her book.
A while later, she went to the counter, but this time it was Arjun who stood there. He smiled at her "need anything, miss?"
She asked if she could borrow the book, and Arjun notified that she would have to return it within a week.
Just as she was turning around to leave, Arjun noticed that she had an ID card around her neck. He read the university name, and his eyes widened. It was the same university as them.
Over there in the kitchen , Madhav was hoping he would never see her again the moment she stepped out of the cafe.
