Elephant in the room

I know that many of you are looking to hear from me. It was definitely a roller coaster of a day. The day began with exciting news. Yes, after over a year AK's next movie's puja happened today so I would like to begin on that positive note. Hope this is an amazing, fast paced, nail biting, action movie that will get all the love it and he deserves and will take him to the next level. Let's all pray that this movie does well, both critically and in the box office. It does have some interesting names associated with it and the heroine apparently is a new face, so let's wait and see.

Now, about the not so comfortable topic, the elephant in the room. Sivaangi began with the famous "nenjai poo pol koidhavale" making us all very happy only to come back and do a Q & A. First of all, I don't think it was a coincidence that she chose to do that today. Even in the past, she has always come to do a Q&A right around the time of his announcement. Before I elaborate on her answer regarding her relationship and costar, I would like to say that this is just my observation and point of view. Many of you might completely disagree and I respect that. After seeing her response if you feel that this is the final straw and you want to move on, I completely understand that and respect your decision as well.

I am not here to argue with you or convince you of anything so if there are comments that are taunting, belittling or being sarcastic to me or my readers, I will just block the account and delete the comments.

Now, about 4 days back AK made some changes to his Instagram profile. He changed his bio where he removed the YouTube link to his last MV and he went ahead and unfollowed 191 people which includes his very close friends including Punith, Siddhu, Anusha and even Stanley. This is his indication to not be linked with anyone. This could have something to do with his upcoming movie. This point is very important for you to understand the rest of my perspective.

Sivaangi decided to do her Q&A today and when asked about rumours she, emphatically called all the shippers delusional and that she was not going to get married for the next 2-3 years especially not to old costars or any of her friends and that we should staaaapppp itttt. Ok we heard you but there are too many loose ends. First of all, the current rumour going around is only with a music friend so why bring old costar suddenly, that too on the day of his puja. Oh so those who did not know that there was something going on in his life now are curious. She got their attention.  She has successfully pissed off all ashaangians who now feel bad for him and are all into wanting to support him. The next one is the most important, making sure that there are no controversies surrounding him. Keeping his path clean and clear.

He once did it for her and now she is doing it for him. "Let me take the blame" game except we have known Sivu for at least 4 years now and some of us, for even longer. She has always been kind and sweet to her fans, be it solo fans or shippers. She was never harsh to Samsivaangi fans, Ashaangians for all this while and all others who have shipped her with Tom, Dick and Harry. Why this behavior today? She is forcing us to support him and him alone. See him for the individual that he is. Do not bring shipping into the professional area. We have done that before and have been burnt in the process, bringing his unnecessary hate and troll too.

I will not lie though. Did her words hurt me? Absolutely. Did it make me angry? 💯. Was I shocked and frustrated? Yes but after a while I thought about it and understood her predicament. His success is important for both of them and he needs to be seen and must shine individually. He cannot be seen as someone's friend, someone boyfriend, someone's costar etc. Hence he broke all ties virtually by unfollowing 191 following and she had to pull the last string.

So, for now, we at Purplehearts respect their request and will not be posting shipping edits. We will support them individually. As and when we get updates regarding Ashwin's new project, we will keep updating and celebrating. If and when she has a project we will do the same and give them the breathing space that they are asking for. This does not mean I have lost even an iota of Hope in them. I will ship them in my heart. I will decode with my inner circle but if you have a weak heart and are unable to handle it, this will be a good time to take a break from them. You can always come back when the days are rosier.
