The first thing Tarik noticed after he died was the music. There was plenty to think about being dead but the music was so loud and unexpected. Second was the sky the sky in the afterlife was beautiful like a sunset coming from all around. In all of Tarik's travels he had never seen anything like it. He looked around he was completely alone. Right before Tarik died he was fighting the reptile king but he wasn't the reptile king he in his last moments he saw Gar bring out a badger he would unpack information later there was also garathon the snake and his spirit animal lumeo, and rollan the last thing he said to rollan was asking him to run so hopefully rollan was safe. Tarik didn't see rollan near so hopefully that meant he was not dead.
As Tarik was thinking the music around him began to swell and he saw lumeo appearing out of thin air almost like he came out of the music. Tarik leaned down to meet his otter. "Hello friend" he greeted to lumeo as he picked up his spirit animal. "It will be great to start my journey into death with you" he honestly couldn't imagine journeying anywhere without lumeo he had been with the otter since he was 11 he had been on countless adventures with lumeo. Tarik planned on waiting until it became night before he left. He needed to wait to make sure rollan didn't come after him to this afterlife before he could leave. Rollan was like his child and he didn't want him to come to this place for a long while. He waited for hours and the suns remained in a sunset not even dimming. Rollan didn't appear to be dying, no music like the song to announce lumeo played. If rollan was to die it probably wouldn't be here. Rollan was alive for now Tarik had to focus on his other kids. Tarik had no clue if Melin or Abeke were still alive. Last time he'd seen them they were taken prisoner by the conquerors he had no way of telling if they were dead or alive but the after life was a perfect way of figuring out. He set off in search of the girls. Tarik had no way of knowing where the girls were but he wouldn't find them by staying still. He set off in a random direction; he couldn't tell where he was facing because the sunset was coming from all directions so he fallowed the music to somewhere.
