Taehyung took another deep breath, gathering his confidence as he stepped forward. The bright lights briefly blinded him, but he quickly adjusted, focusing on the faces in the audience.
"Good morning, everyone," he began, his voice steady despite the fluttering in his chest. "Today, I'm here to talk about the groundbreaking research on human-computer interaction."
As he spoke, he noticed the audience's interest growing, which helped calm his nerves. The presentation flowed smoothly, each point clearly explained with his well-prepared slides.
When he finished, the room erupted in applause. Taehyung felt a rush of relief and pride. As he left the stage, he couldn't help but smile, feeling accomplished.
Taehyung finally checked his phone. There was a message from JJK waiting for him, but he closed his phone when the organizer approached him.
"You need to make videos with the students. They will show you the apps they've created and some of their coding projects."
Taehyung nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He walked over to the group of students who were eagerly. waiting to present their work.
The first student, a young woman with glasses, showed Taehyung an app she had developed to help people learn new languages. Taehyung listened attentively, asking questions and offering praise.
"This is really impressive," Taehyung said, smiling at her. "What inspired you to create this app?"
She explained her passion for languages and how she wanted to make learning accessible to everyone. Taehyung nodded, appreciating her dedication.
Next, a group of students demonstrated a game they had coded. Taehyung watched as they explained the mechanics and the coding challenges they faced. He made sure to record a video with them, asking about their favorite parts of the project and any difficulties they encountered.
"This is amazing work," Taehyung commented, holding up his phone to capture their responses. "You guys have a real talent for this. How long did it take you to develop this game?"
As he moved from one student to the next, Taehyung felt inspired by their creativity and dedication. He could see the passion in their eyes and it reminded him of why he loved being an influencer he had the chance to inspire and encourage others.
As Taehyung approached the last group, he noticed they were a group of handsome boys. They bowed slightly to him as he joined them and then introduced themselves.
"Hello, I'm the representative of this team. The name of our team is 97 Liners. I'm Eunwoo, the project manager. This is Mingyu, our designer and planner. Here we have Jaehyun, our marketing lead, and finally, Jungkook, our main coder."
Every member bowed to Taehyung when Eunwoo introduced them, but when it was Jungkook's turn, he smirked at Taehyung before bowing, making Taehyung gulp a little before bowing back.
Eunwoo continued, "Our app is an Al-generated application that can engage in conversations with humans. It's designed to understand and respond to emotions, providing companionship and support."
Taehyung listened attentively as they demonstrated the app's features. Jungkook took the lead in explaining the technical aspects, his confident demeanor and expertise evident as he spoke. Taehyung couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement.
"This is really impressive," Taehyung said, his voice steady despite the butterflies in his stomach. "How did you come up with the idea for this app?"
Jungkook responded with a smirk, "We wanted to create something that could provide genuine emotional support to users, something more than just a regular chatbot."
As Taehyung listened to Jungkook explain their Al app, he couldn't help but think about JJK. The way Jungkook talked about providing genuine emotional support reminded him of his own experiences with JJK on the Ethereal app.
Taehyung nodded, feeling a connection to their vision. As he recorded a video with the group, asking them about their fav parts of the project and the challenges they faced, he couldn't shake the thought of JJK. The similarities between the app they were presenting and his interactions with JJK were surprising.
After Taehyung finished interacting with the 97 Liners team at KAIST, he took a moment to gather his thoughts near the refreshment table. Jungkook approached him, a confident grin on his face.
"Hey there," Jungkook said casually, leaning against the table. "I saw you were quite interested in our app. Impressed?"
Taehyung turned to face Jungkook, a playful smile tugging at his lips. "Impressed enough to want to know more. You and your team seem to have something special going on."
Jungkook chuckled softly. "We like to think so. But I'm more interested in what you think."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, enjoying the banter. "Oh? Are you looking for my professional opinion or my personal one?"
Jungkook leaned in slightly, his voice lowering. "I'm always interested in your personal opinion, Taehyung."
Their eyes met, a hint of flirtation in the air. Taehyung felt a rush of excitement mingled with curiosity. He had to admit, Jungkook's confidence was captivating.
"I think your app has potential," Taehyung replied, playing along. "But I'm more interested in the person behind the app. What makes Jungkook tick?"
"I'm always exploring new apps and turning innovative ideas into user-friendly interfaces," Jungkook replied with a playful grin, his voice low and teasing. "But tell me, Taehyung, what's it like being an influencer? I bet you have to keep up appearances and charm your audience."
Taehyung chuckled softly, feeling a spark of attraction. "It's a mix of creativity and strategy," he admitted, meeting Jungkook's gaze with a hint of challenge. "Sometimes it's about creating a buzz, other times it's about authenticity."
Jungkook leaned in a bit closer, his expression playful. "Authenticity, huh? I admire that," he murmured, his eyes lingering on Taehyung's lips for a moment before meeting his eyes again. "I'm curious, though. Behind those stunning selfies and captivating videos, what's the real Taehyung like?"
Taehyung felt a flush of heat at Jungkook's directness, but he matched it with a confident smile. "I guess you'll have to stick around to find out," he replied, his voice tinged with flirtation.
Jungkook smirked, his eyes gleaming with a hint of challenge. "I like a little mystery, Taehyung. But I have a feeling you'll enjoy unraveling me," he teased, his voice low and filled with flirtatious intent.
Before Taehyung could reply, Jungkook's friends called him over. With a playful wink, Jungkook left Tae momentarily stunned. As Jungkook walked away, Taehyung couldn't help but put his hand on his chest, exhaling deeply at the unexpected encounter with the charming stranger.
