Moonbyul's eyes narrowed as she dialed Jessica, her assistant's number, her mind racing with the news she'd just received. "Cancel the 8 o'clock meeting," she said curtly, her voice firm but laced with a hint of urgency.Jessica's surprise was palpable, even over the phone. "Moonbyul, are you sure? This is a big one..."
Moonbyul's grip on her phone tightened. "Reschedule it, Jessica. I have a personal matter to attend to."
As she ended the call, Jaehok's curious gaze met hers. "What's going on, Moonbyul? You're not still thinking about-"
She cut him off with a pointed look. "I'm going to the club where Jake is going to propose Jua."
Jaehok's eyes widened, and No-Ra's head snapped up from her phone. "You can't go alone," Jaehok said, his voice firm.
No-Ra nodded in agreement. "We're coming with you, Moonbyul. For backup."
Moonbyul's initial resistance melted away as she met her friends' determined gazes. Together, they formed a formidable team, and she knew she could count on them to have her back.
With a curt nod, she accepted their support. "Alright, let's go."
As they arrived at the club, the pulsating music and dim lights enveloped them. Moonbyul's eyes scanned the crowded room, her gaze locking onto Jake and Jua. Without hesitation, she strode towards them, her friends following closely behind.
As they reached the stage, Moonbyul grabbed the mic from a startled singer, her mischievous smile flashing across her face. "Ladies and gentlemen, let's get this night interesting!"
Jake's confusion and delight were evident as he approached her, Jua by his side. "Moonbyul, what are you doing here?"
She winked at him. "I'm here to ask you and Jua a few questions, Jake. And I promise, it'll be enlightening."
Jake's gaze flicked to Jua, who watched the scene unfold with a calculating gaze. Moonbyul's eyes never left Jake's face as she asked, "Do you truly love Jua, Jake? Can you look me in the eye and tell me that your feelings for her are genuine?"
Jake's expression softened, his eyes filling with adoration as he gazed at Jua. "I love her more than words can express, Moonbyul. My feelings for her are real, and I can't imagine my life without her."
The club's patrons seemed to hold their collective breath, sensing the tension building between the trio.
Moonbyul's gaze locked onto Jua's, her eyes flashing with a hint of skepticism. She turned her attention to Jua, her voice dripping with sweetness. "And what about you, Jua? Do you love Jake just as fiercely?"
Jua's smile was like a razor's edge, her eyes glinting with a cold light. "I love him with all my heart, Moonbyul. And I'll do whatever it takes to make him mine."
Moonbyul's response was immediate. She smirked, and a burst of laughter escaped her lips, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, Jua, you're so predictable," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
The room fell silent, Jake, Jaehok, No-Ra, and the rest of the audience taken aback by Moonbyul's reaction. Jua's face darkened, her eyes flashing with anger. "What are you talking about, Moonbyul?" she spat, her voice venomous.
Moonbyul's laughter grew louder, her eyes never leaving Jua's face. "You think you can play Jake like a fool, use him for your own gain? Please, Jua, you're not even a good actress."
Jake's eyes widened in shock, his face pale as he realized what Moonbyul was implying. Jaehok and No-Ra exchanged a knowing glance, their faces set in determined lines. The audience was on the edge of their seats, sensing the drama unfolding before them.
