insanity (Simon "ghost" Riley x reader)

Chapter one

"you will have no one here to save you.." says a shadowy figure standing over me. i try to scream but my mouth is tapped shut, i try to move but my arms are bound tight. "He will not save you, no one will. You are all alone y/n." The shadowy figure laughed. it was a rough man voice mocking me but i couldn't make out who. I closed my eyes and I tried to scream once more...

I gasp as I wake up in my bed. I throw the blankets off me as I feel myself sweating from the nightmare. "God what the fuck was that??" I say to myself as I try to think back on what the shadowy figure said to me. As I try to think my brain becomes nothing but fogged up and I decide to brush it off and start my daily routine. I get cleaned up and then I start to look for something to wear. I decide to go with something simple that suits my style and then I walk downstairs to make myself something to eat. I open the fridge to see nothing in there. "Great I forgot to get food last night." I sigh as I realize I need to either pick up something to eat or just go to work hungry. I checked the time and shouted " WOAH! NOO DUDE IM GOING TO BE LATE FOR WORK!!" I rush to grab my things and then head to the car. I put the key in and sigh once more before driving off and to work.

"I really can't believe it, the first day of work and I'm already slipping up. Please let today be ok." I think to myself as I start to pull up to my job, a gate with a keypad and speaker was right in front of me, blocking my path. "Hello, what can I help with today?" Said a voice on the raspy speaker. "Hi I'm here to clock in and start working." There was a second of silence before the speaker turned on again. "Alright, please type the numbers on your work id card." I start to dig into my bag to find my id, once I find my id I started to press the numbers on the keyboard. After I got done I pressed enter, a loud beep noise happened before the gates started to open. I drive in and I find a spot for me to park. As I do so another car pulls up right beside me. I ignore it and I hop out of my car and start to walk to my building. I go up to the building doors and use my key card to open the door "damn gotta keep the place tight." I think as the door makes a small beep and opens up, I then walk inside and am greeted by an officer. "Good morning ma'am please place your items in this box and just stand right here" I do as I'm told and he puts my bag and the box holding it through a x-ray scanner, while doing that he then comes up to me with a metal detector and starts to wave it around my body to check for any concealed items. Everything of mine goes through the clear and then I hear the doors open behind me, another person walks through and does the same thing as I did, I look at the person to see it's a tall man with dirty blond hair and brown eyes. "It's nice to see you again sir" says the guy checking his stuff. "Good to see you too lad. How's the family?" The dirty blond headed man said, his voice a deep rough yet smooth tone. "Doing quite well, thank you for asking." I start to zone out on there conversations until I feel a tap on my shoulders which makes me jump a bit. "Woah there lass, I didn't mean to startled you. Your items are waiting on the table." Him speaking to me sent shivers down my spine. "O-oh I'm sorry." I rub my forehead and then grab my stuff, I then start to walk but then I stop.

I realize I don't know where my area is at and so I turn around and ask "um does anyone know where the gun maintenance area is?" The dirty blond headed man spoke once more. "Yea I know where it's at, I can take you over there if you want? I'm going to the same area anyways." I smile and thank him for the help. We start to walk as as we do the man speaks up. "So let me guess you got promoted to this building?" He asked. I look at him confused before I talk "no I'm actually new here." His eyes widened at the statement. "Actually? Well that's a surprise, I didn't think a new person would be working on our weapons." I look at him more confused. "Oh? why do you say that?" He looked at me. "Well lass, my team is one of the best. it's just random that someone who has never worked in any of the buildings here got a job like that." He said. I think for a moment before speaking. "well since I'm basically going to be working with you my name is y/n" I smiled and held my hand out. He chuckled a little, smiled and shook my hand. "The names Simon, but you can just call me ghost." Ghost then went up to a door and put his key card in, a small beep was heard before the door unlocked and opened, then we continued to walk a bit more til a door with the sign "gun maintenance" was in our vision, across from it another room called "training station" I look at Ghost and I thank him for helping me find my area. He smiles and says "don't worry about it, now I'm going to get some training in. I'll see you later." He smiled and winked. I blush from the gesture and smile. He turns around and walks into the room labeled training station. "Woah maybe today won't be so bad." I say to myself as I walk into my area.
