The clicks and clacks of Lucas's staff echoed throughout the dark tunnel as the three walked down it, after going down the spiral stair case. "Ever since coming to this hell, I kept wondering why did Minerva send us to a place like this? You guys thought about it too, right? Maybe it was all a lie and Minerva is secretly actually one of them." At that, Emma shrieked in worry while Y/n only shrugged. 

Lucas let out an airy laugh. "So you guys never doubted him, huh?..Finding that door made me worry about his true intentions. But there was no way to get a pen here so I couldn't get through; that is until you two came." He explained as they all climbed down a ladder that led to a door with an owl on it.

Y/n read the code around the owl to see it wrote 'Pen'. She grabbed the pen out of her pocket and twisted the projector on. Immediately, the handle of the door made a whirring sound, making the three look at each other. Y/n opened the door, revealing a whole control room with TV screens, buttons, and computers. 

Lucas looked back at the two. "This room.." "Look!" Emma exclaimed, pointing towards a doorway and walking through. They walked in, only to see a whole underground lake that was gold and had a fancy house in the middle. "A lake?" Lucas questioned as the three stared at it.

"It's golden..I can't believe it." Lucas muttered as Emma smiled at the scene. "This was on Mister's map; Goldy pond!" She exclaimed as Lucas looked at her stunned. "Minerva probably wanted us to come here, not the hunting park." She stated as Emma pointed to the small house. "What you guys think is in there? Wait, is the house floating?!" Emma said.

Y/n crouched down to the water and dipped her hand in it. But when she took it out, she was still dry. "What the...this water isn't letting me touch it." She stated as Lucas touched it, too. "None of this makes sense.." He trailed off as Emma shook her head. "There must be something in that house. Let's go check it out."

As Emma held the lantern, Y/n helped Lucas down into the water before they walked their way through the water to the house. "Well, the water seems harmless." Emma stated. "I suppose." Lucas replied. 

When they made it onto the small island where the house was, Emma went to open the front door, seeing that it was unlocked. In the house was a large gated elevator that stood in the middle, and a desk with a phone next to it. "An elevator...seems to be an older model." Lucas stated. "Maybe...it's a gate to the human world." 

The two then went into a state of small laughter. "No, now way." Lucas teased as Emma nodded in agreement. "Yea, there's no way we would be able to leave that easily. An old elevator, of all things, haha!" She and Lucas laughed before abruptly stopping. 

"Well, it's not as absurd as it sounds. The letter talked about going beyond mere safety. And if Minerva told us to come here, then what's the elevator for? We should try it out." Lucas added before walking over to the small stand in front of the elevator. "There's a hole here! -Along with the owl!" Emma added as Y/n walked over; reading the words 'pen' again.

Right as she inserted the pen, the stand made a large popping sound; startling the three. Then in white letters on a small screen, it said 'ON'. Then, the gates of the elevator began to open. The three watched in anticipation, waiting for the next elevator door to open, but the stand let out another pop. They looked down to see the letters changed to say 'Failure'.

Y/n furrowed her brows. "Failure?" She questioned as she tried to twist the pen in different ways to get it to work. Just then, ringing engulfed the whole room, catching everyone's attention. They turned to see the small black phone on the table ringing. "A telephone?" Lucas questioned.
