Chapter 1

16 Years Later

Caleb's P.O.V 

I'm walking home from school with my best friend Layla Smith. Layla and I have been best friend since we were 5, I wouldn't tell anyone but I do have a crush on her,my thoughts are interrupted by Layla.

"So when are you gonna start on the assignment?"she asks.

"Soon, it's a family assignment and since my dad is dead I will have to ask my mom, how about you?" I ask.

"I'm not feeling to well...so I'm gonna do it this weekend, the I will ask my parents" she says with a smile.

"Okay...I hope you feel better, so I will see you tomorrow?" I ask as we reach my house.

"Sure" she says and walks ferther down the road to her house.

I walk inside my house to see my mom and aunt jade on the couch talking.

"Hey" I say as I put my bag down and join them

"Hi" they both say unsion.

"How was school" my mom asks.

"It was good we got a assigment, but it's a family assigment so I need information from yours and dad's side of the family" I say.

"Oh..um Okay..we can talk about the after dinner?"

"Sure" I say

"Well as much as I love the both of use I have a dental appointment, see you guys tomorrow?" aunt jade says on her way to the door.

"Bye" my mom and I say unsion.

"So what's for dinner?" I ask

"Chicken"

"Yay my favourite!"

Perrie's P.O.V

"Yay my fovourite!"

"Same as your dad" I say under my breath.

"Sorry?"

"Nothing sweetie, nothing at all...I'm gonna go start dinner"

"Okay...I'm gonna go call Layla and see how she's feeling" he says going upstairs.

I know he has a crush on her, I see it every time his face lights up when he talks about her. I chuckle and start making dinner.

"Dinners ready"

"Coming"

Once we are seated we have a small chat about his conversation with Layla, I'm happy that Caleb and I are so close.

"Okay so I'm just going to put the dishes away then we can talk".

"Okay" he says making his way to the living room.

I put the dishes away and make my way to  him.

"Okay so can we start" he say as I take a seat next to him.

I take a deep breath because I have been lying to him his hole life, but I only did it to to protect him I don't want to get to know his dad and then have Zayn leave again because his has to go tour, anyway hear it goes.

"Sweetheart before I tell you anything there is something very important that you need to know" I say.

"Okay, mom what is it you starting to worry me"

"You know I told you that your dad died in a car accident before you where born"

"Yes"

"Well he didn't die, h-his still a-live" I say with a sob.

"His what?!"
