Marjorie and James had only seen one another in their rounds since that Saturday, weeks passing where the only words exchanged between them were snide passed comments. Marjorie had never let James forget his losses over the common room and James continuously made arrogant comments about her being in Slytherin, he didn't know her bloodstatus and merely assumed based on the tie round her neck and the company she kept.

This ignorance merely fed her growing hatred for the Potter boy, unfortunately he remained completely unaware to this growing fireball inside of her. However, as she made room for the burning fire that James Potter continued to feed the little black hole that sank inside her heart continued to sink, giving James Potter all the more room to occupy her thoughts.

It was now the last Thursday of September, the month having passed in a back to school blur, and Marjorie was waiting outside Helena's portrait for James, again.

Boisterous laughter echoed down the halls as four sets of footseps approched, they were round the corner, unaware of the girls prying ears, despite her waiting having become routine.

Their laughter stilled as Remus let out an increadibly long sigh. "Still can't believe were walking you back so you can do rounds Prongs, never thought I'd see the day," he muttered with a half chuckled. The boy was exhausted, having been at school for three weeks now, there was only one more day until the full moon and he'd forced himself through lessons, not wating to miss and N.E.W.T.s content.

Sirius bounced up patting James on the back repetitively, "James Potter, Quidditch Captain, world renowned prankster, infamous troublemaker, oh and of course HEADBOY!" He screamed the last word into James' ear dissolving the four of them into chuckles again.

"You enjoying it?" Peter asked softly, the boys heart tightening as he hoped for a good answer, he was only ever really happy when his friends were.

"I like being headboy," James answered honestly, "But Godric Marjorie is driving me positively insane, you'd think the stick up her arse would loosen after we'd settled in, but NOOOOOO." He shook his head missing the smile pinched between Remus' lips and the shocked looks that passed over Peter and Sirius' faces at his outburst.

James began to jokingly mimic her " 'We have to do it now Potter or I swear to God you won't live to see tomorrow.' Her stupid empty threats no wonder she's in Slytherin," he scoffed, the months pent up anger against their tiny arguments having all pulled out at once. "What a cowar-"

Turning the corner at last, James' eyes were imediately pulled towards a perfectly arched brow. "Go on," Marjorie spat out, thick poision dripping from her words, "What exactly were you going to call me, Potter." His surname sounded like venom on the end of her tounge, as though it physically pained her to pronounce each syllable.
