You were surrounded by death. Your echoey, distorted, hyaena like laugh clicking in your throat.
Crimson blood, splattered on once colourless halls. Innards decorating the halls like Christmas lights, holding up dangling half eaten corpses of former employees. Bloody drawing crudely drawn on bland walls. Then everything fell silent, not even your manic laughter could be heard.
Grinning as you bring your clawed hand to your face. Then a pained scream, like nothing you have ever heard, echoed of bloody concrete walls. With the quickly shrinking halls, closing in around you... then everything went black.
Gasping, you open your eye, you observe your colourful and unorganised room. The sun filtering through thick purple curtains, eating away at the tranquil darkness of the night.
Sitting up, you grumble, realising you claws had shredded your bedding in you sleep.
"I really need to find claw proof bedding, if that even exists."
This had happen a dozen too many times in your opinion, this fact was evident by the many stitched up pieces of bedding on blanket and pillow. You should probably buy a new blanket and pillow but that requires money, money you don't really want to spend.Swinging your legs off you bed, you begin to contemplate why you still live in this city but then you remember your befriend and couch potato of a roommate. Considering the factor of Ava essentially living off cereal and the loving cuddles of her cat before you moved in you'd feel a little leaving her to live like that again, that and your the only person she talks to willingly other than her parents. You can't really say much as she talks to more people than you.
Sighing you check the time on your phone, 3:47am. Well at least you managed to sleep for more than 3 hours this time. You've got a decent while before you have to wake up Ava. So you decide to do what you do best. Look in your overly long mirror, made to suet your obnoxiously tall height, and stare at your reflection like it owes you money.
Heaving yourself up off you bed, with your gaze hanging low and you posture as crooked as it usually is, you drag yourself to your mirror and look at the hot mess that is you. You look the same as you did yesterday.
You still have the same messy hair, which is essentially a mane at this point. You still have terrifyingly sharp teeth in your maw. You still have scars tearing at your face. You're still missing an arm and eye. You're hand and feet still have deadly claws and paw pads. Your legs for animal like than human. Lower arm and legs pitch black before fading into a sickly pale white. With eye bags that make you already bone-chilling glare even more threatening. Overall you think you look about as threatening as you usually do.Glancing towards your desk you can see the case holding your prosthetics. The robotic arm prosthetic made life quite a bit easier, you were quite prideful about that arm as well since you made it yourself. Not to toot your own horn but you were quite the mechanical genius if you do say so yourself. Along with being an amazing blacksmith. Starring back at your reflection, you lower yourself to the ground sitting cris-cross on the floor and you just space out, with a thousand yard stare.
*beep**beep**beep*
Your alarm snapped you back to your senses. Standing up you grab your phone and turn your alarm off, it's 7:00am. You must of been sat there longer than you thought. I should start making breakfast.
Huffing, you begin to prepare for whatever life decides to beat you with on this lovely day. Grabbing the case for the prosthetics you open the case and begin the tedious process of attaching your robotic arm. Once that was finished you began to rummage though your draws to decide what to wear for the day. You decide on wearing your usual t-shirt, purple turtle neck sweater, a pair of black trousers, a pair of thick socks, a pair of thick leather gloves and a oversize hoody.
Finishing you look with a large pair of steel tipped boots and a your prosthetic mask.Leaving your room you head to the kitchen and make jam on toast for Ava. Placing the toast on the side you approach Ava's bedroom door and knock gently on the door. You hear displeased groaning coming from inside, you don't feel like standing around at Ava's door and you didn't want her going to her job interview with an empty stomach. So Ava's cat Johnny will have to help you wake Ava up. Approaching the hungry cat you kneel down.
"Now Johnny I'm going to to need you to release you inner dickhead and wake Ava up."
Picking the small cat up you open Ava's bedroom door and place him inside, whispering your final words of encouragement before fleeing to your own room.
"Go forth my feline friend and awake our sleepy friend."
You can hear Ava's muffled yells, laughing to yourself while you walk towards you desk. Sitting you continue tinkering with your most recent gadget.
By the sounds of it Ava has left for her interview and with that the apartment falls silent.

You pause you tinkering as you hear the approach of multiple people, by the way they smell they ain't human either and the seem to have Ava with them.Sighing you stand. Mumbling in a displeased tone.
"What has this girl gotten herself into now?"
Out all the thing Mother Nature could throw at you she decided this. It would be best to solve this situation as peacefully as possible, you don't really want to risk Ava's safety she is much more fragile compared to you after all.Silently you creep out of room, the mysterious men unaware of your presence. Clearing your throat you begin you best but still a pathetic attempt at peaceful negotiation.
"Hello, I'm-"
Before you could finish your sentence the orange horned man cut you off.
"A human!"
"Yes I'm a human, my names-"
Once again you were cut off as the group pulled their weapons on you, and begin to have conversation. You don't think planning in front of a potential enemy in there smartest idea but who were you to judge there incompetence.
"Prince Asch what shall we do?"
The one with dark blue horns asked the one that's apparently a royal.
"Seems like we'll be taking two prisoners" the prince yelled. They really aren't too stealthy with their attacks are they. "Get her!" He orders.
Well this didn't go to plan.
Three men charged at you, one with orange horns, one with light blue horns, and one with green horns.
The one with green horns disappears as the other two continue to charge at me. The green horned one tried to attack from behind and the other two from the front. You simply dodge causing all three to crash into one another.
Clapping your hands you try once more at peaceful negotiations.
"Alright!"
"Can we talk like grown adult or are we going to continue to act like irrational children."
The green horned one once again tried to jump you from behind leading to him being thrown into the wall.
The royal seem to be in shock.
"How?"
The one with dark blue horns stepped forward.
"Human we mean you no harm-"
"Your friend quit literally just tried to attack me."
"Well,yes, but we..."
He seem to not know what to say. A light groan cut through the awkward silence, Ava seems to be waking up.
"Er, what..?"
This confusion didn't last long as she began to panic and run towards the kitchen, although she didn't make it as you grabbed her arm and drag her with you to the coach.
"Ava, perfect timing we were just decide on what to do!"
Continuing you say in creepily chipper tone,
"So let's start with the basics, what the are you?"

Fun fact: Crow hates the smell of coffee along with hating the taste of energy drinks, and instead gets her endless amounts of caffeine from tea and fizzy pop.
