Incapable // Yang Jungwon

II

Jungwon groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. Unlike the location he last was he now is face to face with one of the towns nurse.

"HE'S AWAKE"

She yelled which caused Jungwon to groan in even more pain. His head felt like it had been cracked opened. His body felt lighter yet so heavy and everything was throbbing in intense pain. 

"Can you not yell"

He mustered up all his strength to say that. The nurse gave an apologetic look and she started aiding to his pain. Jungwon was in and out of consciousness he felt so exhausted.

"How did I get here?"

 Jungwon asked after she stopped doing whatever she was doing

"Someone spotted you when they were trying to go fetch some water. You were severely beaten up and you have been out for three days straight"

"THREE DAYS?" 

Jungwon abruptly lifted himself to sit up straight which was a bad idea because pain jolted through his whole body immediately causing him to lay down again. Jungwon stared at the nurse in disbelief he couldn't wrap around the fact he has been unconscious for three whole days. Suddenly he remembered the Vampire and what happened to make him unconscious for three days. 

"Is my neck okay?"

Her face turns to confusion with the question asked to her. She turns his head around slightly looks and touches his neck to make sure it is okay. To his surprise it did not hurt leaving him now confused.

"Your neck seems fine...Does it hurt by any chance?"

He shakes his head to say no to her question. Did he imagine the whole situation and blacked out after shock from the death of the royal family? Nothing makes sense because he has lost three days of information.

"When can I leave? I'm ready to go now" Jungwon started getting up and the nurse quickly puts her hand on his chest pushing him to lay down again.

"There's no way you are trying to leave. You were unconscious for three whole days theres no way you are in any condition to leave. You were on the brink of death if someone didn't find you any sooner"

Jungwon groans in annoyance but he cant argue with her because he knows she is right. Rolling his eyes he just accepts the cards he is being dealt with. He stares at the nurse taking in her appearance she looked about his age she was gorgeous he could not deny that. He notices her cheeks turn slightly red and she started fidgeting thats when it hit him that he has just been staring at her very intensely. 

"O-Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to" He fumbled with his words awkwardly looking away

"it's fine I was just curious on what you were thinking" She awkwardly looked away too clearing her throat 

"I was wondering if I could get some water I'm so parched"

She quickly got up getting him some water. He took this moment to get up testing if his legs still work, to his content it still does. Sighing in relief he walked around the room a bit going back to three days ago he started thinking of what happened. He could have sworn he was bit by the vampire so why does his neck feel fine? why is there no mark? His head started hurting from how many unanswered questions was flooding his mind, a knock on the door snapped him back to reality

"Here's your water" She gently gave it to him

Taking the water he walked to the window taking in that it is now night time. He downed the water while staring at the moon, he didn't know he was genuinely thirsty until the water was gone. The moonlight shined on his skin and that's when he noticed his skin looked slightly glowy. It was like the vampires but only slightly to Jungwon he could notice the difference but to anyone else they wouldn't. He recalled what the vampire said to him before he blacked out and thats when it hit him... he was turning into a vampire. That's why he blacked out and why he feels horrible everything makes sense now. He was freaking out internally what does one do? what can one say? he cant turn to the nurse and say "I'm turning into a vampire please help me" unless he wants to sound like he's insane. Taking deep breaths in Jungwon turned to face the nurse who was staring at him already.
