Flowers die too (a jori story)

Two hearts, one beat.

I stay up all night wondering and thinking about vega. I hear my alarm go off and it's time for school...but I'll see Vega, which makes me excited just even thinking about it, she makes my heart feel. . . Understood and heard, my heart didn't feel this way for Beck either, why is that?

Maybe it's the feeling of a teenagers first love.

"Jade honey?" My mom calls out my name, I forgot I have to be getting ready for school! Fuck I totally forgot I was just laying in bed thinking about Vega. . .Somthing about her makes my mind go blank and just think about her, your doing it again Jade. I throw on some clothes hoping Vega notices my outfit and if it looks nice, maybe she'll look my way. Well hopefully she'll notice but I have to get to school like now.

(Tori's pov)

Oh chizz I'm gonna be late again! I don't really wanna go to school but, what choice do I have?

"TORIIIIIIIIIII" I hear Trina yell my name out, "what?" I yell back and I hear her blab about Somthing but I don't pay much attention and get ready for school. I hardly had enough time to get ready hopefully I look pretty...for Jade. Pffttt...who am I kidding there's no way Jade would like girls...or even in general me. I feel my heart sink when I think that, would Jade really not see me like that? Who am I kidding Jade and Beck with be back together in no time. I shouldn't waste my time. I leave my house and head to school walking.

I arrive at school and I'm late, "Tori go get a pass please." I hear lane tell me and I roll my eyes and walk to go get a pass. "So, miss Vega why were you late?" I hear the vice principal dickers ask. "Uh I came walking, sorry I didn't mean to be late-" I get cut off and dickers says "WELL MAYBE DONT GO WALKING, see problem solved." He tells me but I respond with "but I don't have a car trina took it today I couldn't drive-" I get cut off once more with "2 WEEKS OF DETENTIONS VEGA WANNA GO FOR 3?" he tells me but I shake my head and snatch my pass and get out of there asap.

I finally get to relax and sit in class until I walk in and see Jade and Beck sitting next to each other, holding hands.

My heart sank.

(Jade pov)

Before school I get a message from Beck to meet me at our "spot" which is my favorite place in the woods were we usually go to talk, or just to hangout, I agree like the idiot I am. When u get there Beck is there with flowers candles and a sign, it says "Jade I love you please can we get back together?" My jaw drops and I feel a wave of emotions that fill me up. "Beck what is this..?" I ask him "I love you Jade, please?" Beck begs but I love Vega. I don't know what to do or feel, Beck grabs my waist and kisses me. I kiss back knowing that I should just accept that Vega isn't gay, she's a straight girl, and this is as good as it's gonna get for me, it's Jade and Beck forever, not Jade and tori.

Beck kisses me one more and I let a tear fall knowing I wished this was Vega. I quickly wipe it before Beck can realize it. And i gradually accept being his girlfriend again, but i think to myself that I made a mistake.

My heart is so heavy.

I sit down at my chair and don't stare at Jade and Beck, I hear them talking to eachother calling eachother "baby" I feel myself getting more and more upset at the pet names and feel my heart shatter slowly. The last straw was when they kissed and I was trying to pass out scripts and they make out right then and there while I'm there. I can't take this, I feel a tear slowly fall down my face, what's going on? I feel another fall, I quickly drop the papers and run out the class to wipe my tears and it feels like my whole world has just stopped. Jade kept it moving.

"Tori..?" I hear cat call out, "oh hey cat.." I respond. "Tori what's wrong? I've never seen you this upset before?" I hear cat tell me and she sits down next to me right outside the class. "It's nothing I'm just not having the best day, I guess it feels like for once I'm not making it shine.." I joke and laugh softly. "Well it's okay! My brother has bad days too, but he makes it better by bathing in ketchup!" She tells me and giggles. I look at her confused but cat always finds a way to make me feel better. "Thank you cat" I hug her tightly. "Your welcome Tori!" She giggles and hands me a candy she had in her bra. She gets up and asks if I'm coming back in. "I think I'll stay out her a little longer." I tell her and wave to her goodbye.

Lunch comes around and the whole gang is sitting at our usalt lunch table, I'm sitting across from Jade and Beck and I don't lift my head up from my food I don't wanna look at them. I feel I'll start crying. "Tori?" I hear Jade call my name. Don't lift you head Tori. "Vega? I know you hear me." Jade starts raising her voice, I guess we're back to mean ol' Jade west. I lift my head slowly and see she's still staring but she didn't look judgemental she looks worried instead. "Yea..?" I answer finally to her call, "are you okay?" Beck asks, I don't even wanna talk to him but it's not his fault it takes 2 to start a relationship, "I'm fine just not having the best day you know.?" I get up and go to my locker. I unlock it and find a bouquet of flowers, pink tulips with babies breath and a pink bow. And there's a note, "these flowers will die when I confess my love to you,"- your secret admirer
I look around but there's no one here, I grab the flowers and go to my next class and eventually it's time to go to black box theater to practice my lines in the play. With Jade. What makes it worse I play her secret lover.

Before leaving to go to the black box theater I get stopped by Robbie "hey tori-nator! How do you like the flowers I got you?" He tells me,It was ROBBIE? I answer him with "robbie we're just friends? Also you would've known my favorite color is blue!" I walk away and he looks confused. Can't believe Robbie is my secret admirer. I see Jade wasn't standing that far from my conversation she's with Beck, of course. I walk right past then not looking but I still feel her stare. Maybe I'm made for somebody else.
