Y/N was sitting on her bed, staring at the ceiling. The muffled sounds of her parents arguing downstairs filled the house. They had been fighting a lot lately, and it was tearing her apart. Her younger sister, Emma, was too young to understand what was happening, but Y/N knew all too well. Her parents were talking about divorce.
She sighed deeply, running a hand through her hair. School was no escape either. The constant pressure of homework, exams, and fitting in made her life feel like a never-ending cycle of stress. But today was different. Today, a new student had joined her class.
Felix was his name. He had transferred from another city, and there was something about him that was different. He had a calm, almost ethereal presence, and his smile seemed to ease some of the tension that Y/N felt.
During lunch, Felix approached Y/N while she was sitting alone. "Mind if I join you?" he asked with a warm smile.
Y/N looked up, surprised. "Sure," she replied, gesturing to the empty seat across from her.
They began talking, and Y/N found herself opening up to Felix in a way she hadn't with anyone else. He was a good listener, and he seemed to understand her problems even without her saying much.
Over the next few months, Y/N and Felix became close friends. He was always there for her, whether she needed help with schoolwork or just someone to talk to. However, there were moments when Felix seemed to know things about her that she had never mentioned. Little things, like her favorite book or her habit of biting her nails when she was nervous.
One evening, after another intense argument between her parents, Y/N decided to go for a walk to clear her head. She found herself in the park, sitting on a bench and staring at the stars. Suddenly, Felix appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Hey," he said softly, sitting down beside her.
"Hey," Y/N replied, wiping away a tear. "How did you know I was here?"
Felix hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "There's something I need to tell you, Y/N. Something important."
Y/N looked at him, her curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Felix looked into her eyes, his expression serious. "I'm not just a regular student. I'm your guardian angel. I've been sent to protect you and help you through these tough times."
Y/N blinked, not sure if she had heard him correctly. "You're... what?"
"A guardian angel," Felix repeated. "It's my job to watch over you, and I care about you more than you can imagine."
Y/N didn't know what to say. The idea seemed ridiculous, but at the same time, it explained so much about Felix and the way he always seemed to be there when she needed him.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"I wanted to," Felix said, "but I needed to wait until the right moment. Until you were ready to believe."
Y/N felt a mixture of emotions - confusion, disbelief, but also a strange sense of relief. "So, what happens now?" she asked.
Felix smiled gently. "Now, we face whatever comes together. You're not alone, Y/N. I'm here for you, always."
As the night wore on, Y/N and Felix talked for hours, sharing their hopes and fears. For the first time in a long while, Y/N felt a glimmer of hope. With Felix by her side, maybe, just maybe, things would get better.
