TWO YEARS AGO, SOMEWHERE IN UNITED STATES

“How’s the preparations going for our wedding, Love? Everything good?”

“Oh about that,” Beomgyu speaks and puts down his iPad. “I’m going to withdraw from wedding,” he smiles.

Soobin stops from reading some printed files and stares at Beomgyu. He blinks twice before placing the folder on the table. “In what grounds? May I know why?”

“Choi Yeonjun, I like him more than you,” he replied. “Are you mad?”

Soobin isn’t surprised by Beomgyu’s sudden confession. There’s a part of him that saw how Beomgyu’s behaviors change after his summer escapade with Yeonjun. He can clearly see how distant Beomgyu become with him although he never caught him talking to Yeonjun. He just knows something was off already.

“Yep! I am,” Soobin managed to chuckles. “So why Choi Yeonjun over me?” he still asks calmly.

“I’m not sure why… but despite of being with in less than two months, he sure made me feel something I never felt from you for over years of dating,” Beomgyu speaks what’s on his mind. Not minding to sugarcoat it.

Soobin let out a deep breath and nods. “Over years of dating...” he repeated. “Are you sure we’re not going to proceed this wedding anymore?” he asks one more time.

Beomgyu stands up, moves in front of Soobin, and lent his right hand. “Yes, I’m sorry Soobin,” he apologizes.

Soobin didn’t say anything and slowly takes off the ring from Beomgyu’s finger. “Well, I can’t do anything about it already. I don’t want to force you either. You already said your reason and that’s enough for me. At least I had a blast with you throughout the years,” Soobin smiles at him.

“Thank you, Soobin. I know you’re going to act like this. That’s why I’m confident to break off the wedding,” Beomgyu replied in relief.

“No worries. I hate dramas and we’re both fan of fast negotiations,” Soobin chuckles. “So are you going to toss me away now?”

“Of course not,” Beomgyu frowns and went back to the table to pick up his iPad. “We’re still business partners, Soobin,” he stated.

Soobin tilted his head in wonder. “How about all your shares that are under my name in Dal Group? You can’t get that,” Soobin stated, at least this is the only revenge he can think against him.

“Nope,” Beomgyu disagreed while looking at his screen. “I already transferred all my shares as well as from Dal’s major shareholders that are actually under Tomorrow Investments into TI’s account itself,” he stated and look adorably at Soobin.

“Eh? What do you mean?” Soobin frowns and even get up from where he’s sitting. “How did TI become Dal’s investor when we can’t even get a hold of them?”

“Because,” Beomgyu pauses and shows Soobin the screen of his gadget. “I’m the real owner of Tomorrow Investment,” he proudly introduced and swipes the screen.

“W-what did you just… say?”

“From industrial, marketing, finance, entertainment, and real estates,” Beomgyu speaks as he constantly swipes the screen as if he’s showing Soobin a presentation. “I already bought everything under different name to cover TI. To sums it all, I hold 50.6% of Dal’s shares making TI the major shareholder and leaving you with 49.4% as the CEO.”

Soobin never felt so weak in his entire career of being a CEO and a man himself. He felt betrayed and manipulated at the same time. He never knew Beomgyu will pull this kind of stunt on him. Afterall, he’s a business man; Dal Global Group’s financial consultant and now the owner of Dal Group in terms of shares.
