chaper one

Summary: john and marlena got married and they want on their honeymoon and they start a family.

chapter one.

It was late in the afternoon marlena stood at the bedroom window overlooking the spacious gardens behind the house.

It had been a gorgeous day, with just a hint of clouds beginning to gather at the horizon. With any luck, the showers would hold off until after the ceremony.

Marlena could hear the bustle of the incoming guests, their laughter floating up to her on the light breeze.

They had planned for this outdoor ceremony, realizing showers could be a problem as always in Salem
but taking their chances anyway.

The white canopy was erected against a backdrop of mature oak trees, and pots of pale pink roses and orchids were in place around the perimeter.

The caterers were setting up their tables, along with a small band for entertainment.

It wasn't anything over the top extravagant, just enough to keep everyone entertained for awhile after the ceremony.

"Are you ready for this, marlena?.

Hope asked, bringing marlena back to the moment as she entered the bedroom.

"Yes…no…I mean, it's suddenly so real.

Marlena said as she checking her reflection again in the mirror.

The dress fit her perfectly, and her hair was swept up into soft curls, with a small comb studded with pearls tucked into the tresses.

Outside under the canopy, john waited with Bo, both of them wearing elegant dark suits, crisp white shirts and striped ties.

So, ready for the big moment?.

Bo asked his best friend.

"Absolutely, Thanks again for helping out this morning.

John said as he  looked around at the small gathering, the intimate group of friends

It felt right to do it this way, rather than a big wedding.

"No worries, man, happy to help, and thanks for asking me to stand up for you.

Bo said as he adjusted the cuffs of his suit jacket.

John said as the music started to
get louder, signaling the start of the ceremony.

"Here we go, gentlemen.

The the priest commented.

John nodded, following with Bo
to where they were instructed to wait.

Marlena met john's eyes, she smiles at him as she walked down the aisle.

John was the man who made her laugh, who was always there for her, and who had captured her heart and soul.

Marlena reached the spot besid, john and he took her hand.

John's own emotions were surging, as marlena took his hand.

Marlena had captured John's heart, and he would do everything in his power to be there for her always.

"You look very beautiful.

John whispered into marlena's ear.

Marlena smiled.

We are gathered here to join this man and this woman in matrimony.

Marlena lost track of what else the priest was saying, she was so wrapped up in looking into john's eyes, and she had to blink when the the priest tapped her on the arm to get her attention.
