I became ruler of everything

Chapter 7

Whilst Kyle was meeting his mom and getting settled in Otherworld, Z was going through training with her dad and visiting Uncle G as promised. She continued to grow stronger with her healing and fighting abilities. This led to her discovering new powers she's never seen. "Come on Z guard this attack with what you've got!" Her dad yelled from the other side of the training room. He fired a beam of light in her direction. Z took a slight hop forward and placed her hands in front of her as if to catch the attack coming toward her. A bright yellow aura starts to outline her body, the blast lands causing smoke to stir up. Once the smoke cleared both Z and the training dummy looked as if they revived not even a scratch. "Great job Z, looks like your guard is becoming stronger by the day." They finished training there and went back upstairs for breakfast. After showering and getting changed, Z grabbed her phone and texted Kyle. This would be the second time she's done it that day but he hadn't responded. The text read: "Hey dumbass I've been getting stronger lately. When you come back we should spar. I'll win this time." She sent the text and went to eat with her family.
  A little later Z went outside the front door. She went to the side of the house where there was a ladder waiting. She climbed up the ladder to the roof and sat there for a little while. Thinking about everything that happened in the past week after Kyle left. They've been together since they were kids and have hardly ever been apart, so now that Z had no idea if he would return or not it threw her off in a way that has never happened to her before. An hour passed and she thought to herself that even if he didn't come back she would still support him. Z went back in the house and grabbed her bag for school. "I'm leaving!" She yelled up the stairs before going back out of the front door.
  After her classes Z went to the restaurant she and Kyle went to before to talk. She sat at the same table too and ordered the same thing as usual, "I need to visit the hospital." The trip there was longer than normal, she had no idea what the otherworld looked like and who that person was who took Kyle. Pulling into the parking lot Z cleared her mind of everything that wasn't uncle G for right now. Arriving at his room she knocked then entered. "Uncle G, hey I'm back again to see if you're okay." Uncle G was still unconscious. "I really hope you wake up soon. I think Kyle might be slipping away from us, but he's doing well and has gotten very strong. He just might leave us behind in the process." Z waited for the nurse to come back in the room before leaving the hospital. Making the decision to become stronger to stay at the same level as Kyle so they'll always be close.
   She started devoting more time and effort into training, finding whatever weaknesses she could and fixing them. This gave her a new sense of motivation. In a week's time she's found a new level to her abilities while simultaneously keeping up her martial arts. "Great job Z, I'm very impressed with your effort lately!" Z's dad said to her while placing his hand on her shoulder. "Now I'm certain that you can reach a level me and your mother could not." The accuracy of her piercing light is almost to a point where she would be able to end anyone with their guard down. When training was over Z took a break in her usual spot on the roof and stared up at the sky. "I'm going to get there soon." She says to herself while starting to smile a bit.
