They slowly began to open their eyes. Their head pounded in their ears. The sun nearly blinded them, it was so bright. They instinctively squinted their eyes.

They observed trees above them and felt grass below. Where were they. They couldn't remember.

Suddenly their mind was in a hospital room. A lady with eye-catching green hair talked over them. It was blurry in their mind and no words she said made sense to them.

Was this the last thing that happened to them? Who was that woman? Why could they not remember anything else.

They attempted to remember who they were. "Buu...." was all they got. So their name starts with a B. That wasn't much.

They began to sit up. The floor was hard on their back. They looked around some more, trying to find a sign of human life. But nothing came of it. They were alone, probably lost, in the woods.

They decided they should get up and walk in a direction and hope to find someone.

As they stood up, the realized their legs were much more stiff than they thought. It might be hard to walk. But they had to try anyway.

They slowly walked for miles. It was now nighttime. They were tired, dirty, and hungry, they looked like a mess.

They eventually stumbled upon a house in the middle of the woods. Well, more of a mansion if they were being honest.

It looked scary but they knew it probably wasn't going to get any better than this.

They walked up to the door, knocking on it softly. As they waited for someone to answer they wondered if they were all asleep by now.

But before they could worry more the doorknob began to turn.

A lady with white fluffy hair, to contrast her dark skin, opened the door. Behind her they could see another girl, one with red hair and freckles.

They looked familiar? Maybe. There was a feeling there but they couldn't reach it. Their head hurt when they tried.

The woman looked shocked when they looked at them.

"Um.... can I-"

"Bow!?" The woman cut them off. "Y-your alive!?"

They didn't know how to respond when the woman wrapped their arms around them. The girl behind her seemed excited too.

"I thought you were dead, Bow?"

She led them into the house. At least they didn't have to explain why they needed come inside. But now they were needed to be explained to.

They didn't want to break into a strangers place, even if they thought they knew them. They did not.

"I'm sorry. I don't know you....."

Confusion and sadness fell over the girls faces. "What do you mean? You're Bow, right?"

They decided to be honest. "I don't know." Bow did match the only letters they had of their name, but they didn't entirely know.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Asked the red haired girl. "Even I can remember who I am."

"Well.... I can't."

"Did you hit your head?" The white haired girl reached out a hand to check their head for an injury.

"I don't know."

After finding no signs of head trauma, she stepped away and gave them a very sad look.

"Oh.... well, um.... how about this?" A soft smile returned to her face. "You can stay here for the night, you look like you need it, and then tomorrow we can take you to a doctor, okay?"

They thought about it, and agreed.

"Great."

"Do you know who I am?" The red head suddenly asked. They did not, so they shook their head.

"Oh, well I'm Apple." She said with a giddy smile on her face.

"Apple." They softly repeated, hoping they wouldn't forget that too.

"And my name is Marshmallow."

They repeated her name aswell.

"And you're Bow.... well for right now you are."

"Bow...." for some reason that name felt sour on their tongue. But it was the only thing they knew right now, so for now,

They were 'Bow'.
