Basil stared Miku down, thankful to at least be able to know what her name was, even if he couldn't voice his gratitude.
"..." He tried speaking once more, only to choke out another small sob.
He kept sobbing for the rest of the trip, unsure if it were the emotional exhaustion getting to him, or the aching injury on his arm, looking down so Miku wouldn't notice how terrified he was, but she noticed, still not saying a word, only awkwardly staring, her eyes veering down to said injury.
Eventually the van did stop, another person Basil barely even noticed turning around to face the two, her brown eyes seemingly staring right through the both of them, before she too, looked down at Basil's arm, whatever it was, he REALLY didn't want to know
"We're back!" The other girl declared, stepping out the driver seat, her heels clicking against the asphalt before she opened the backdoor of the van
"And Miku, could you bring this guy over to the infirmary?" She asked, Miku simply nodded, turning over to face Basil once the other girl left
The both kept quiet, seemingly dormant as they both stared the other down, although there was no aggression behind either of their stares, at least, on Basil's end..
"So.." Miku didn't finish her sentence, grabbing Basil's hand and leading him into the building, it looked just like the one he was found in, but.. Less dark
He didn't think much about anything else throughout the rest of the short walk, absentmindedly staring down at Miku's hand, just barely noticing the fact her nails were painted bright blue through his tears, having finally started to calm down, maybe it was from the fact he was crying for at least 45 minutes. Or maybe it was because he felt pathetic crying in front of someone else.
After a while they had reached the infirmary, Miku opening the door in dead silence, something that made Basil feel... Kind of uncomfortable, was he supposed to make conversation, or not? Those thoughts were cut short at the sound of the door slamming shut.
It was loud enough to catch the attention of the other person in the room, her eyes going from filled with worry, to relief within seconds as she let out a relieved exhale, brushing a strand of pink hair from her eyes as she walked up to the two
"Miku, you really gave me a fright." She chuckled, approaching Miku with a soft smile and wrapping her in an embrace, Miku returned the gesture with an embarrassed yet happy look on her face, the hug only lasting a few seconds as it seems as though the pink haired girl had noticed Basil
"And this is..?"...
Silence, it seems as though neither of them wanted to talk. And they both kept silent for a few seconds, before Basil finally spoke up, wiping the remaining tears with his unscathed arm
"I-I'm Basil, ma'am." He forced those words out along with a smile, trying to hold eye contact with her despite every fiber of his being wanting to just turn around and run, before.. He eventually got a response
"Well nice to meet you Basil, you can just call me Luka." She smiled, her soft blue eyes feeling as if they were digging into his soul, only made worse when she slowly took hold of his arm, causing the blonde to flinch.
Basil flinched, of course, looking away from the two girls holding his breath and biting his lip as to not let them see him cry, that task becoming harder upon the feeling of a bandage getting tingly wrapped around his arm, feeling as though there was next to no circulation in this arm anymore
Miku noticed this, stepping over to look at Basil, staring him down at he started to silently sob again, unsure of what exactly to think about how much he cried, before she finally opened her mouth
