Leo hisses as he removes the towel from his bruised shoulder and sees the color is lighter than before. Mako sat back next to him as she placed the aid supply down.
"Try not to move too much," she spoke, he chuckles at her for a moment and flicks his eyes back at his bruised shoulder. "For a blind woman, she sure can hit hard," he states.
Mako chuckles as she places the med-pack on his shoulder, "Yeah, I think it came from training a lot with clone brothers." she points out, Leo lets out a sigh as he relaxes, feeling the med-pack doing its work.
"Was this how it was training with her when you left?" he asks, pressing his fingers at the pack. Mako ponders for a moment and shrugs, "The first step was accepting what happened, happened. Which I had a hard time doing. Then came the training my senses and no it wasn't like this. It was worse, much worse." she states.
Leo chuckles as he flicks his eyes up at her "You got scraps?" he asks, Mako just smirks at him, "Oh, yeah. Definitely yes." she answers.
Both share a laugh before the smile falls from her face as she ponders over new she was told back at the hospital. Wondering how she should break the news to Leo.
"Thinking about Ezra?" Leo asks, Mako flicks her eyes at him, seeing the concerned look on Leo's face. She was quiet for a moment and turned her attention to the med pack.
"Among other things," she answers as she secures the pack. Leo just stares, seeing the worried look on her face, so he reaches out and takes her hand in his, making her stop but keep her eyes off his.
"Mako. Look at me," he spoke softly. She inhales and flicks her eyes up at him "We're going to get him back and stop anyone who gets in our way. Morgan. This fallen Jedi and his apprentice or whatever Imperial is left. Not even Thrawn will stop us." he assures her.
She exhales and looks down at his hand. "Yeah, we had allies then, a crew. Even the Purrgils. But now, there's, what, five of us, and I doubt that the Fleet will help us in this so-called rumor that Thrawn is back." she spoke.
Leo turns his head and sighs, "Of course, the fleet won't join us. Cause once the politics start... it's downhill from there. It's why you and I left." he states, making her look at him as he grips her hand tightly.
"We fight for freedom. Not for politics, or whatever noble nerf herder can pay us. And trust me, we don't do politics." he states, she huffs a smile. "No. No, we don't." she laughs.
She ponders her thoughts for a moment and flicks her eyes at Leo, biting her lip. "Leo." she starts, he looks at her. She takes in a breath and straightens her back. "There's... something I want to tell you, but I'll tell you after we rescue Ezra," she informs.
Leo blinks as he pulls himself up, "What? Is it something bad? Are you hurt?" he asks, trying to keep his smile. Mako just huffed a smile and shook her head. "I don't believe so, but... it will change our lives," she assures.
He hesitates for a moment but nods at her as his hands tighten on her hand, she wants to return the smile but suddenly feels a pull, making her look away. "What is it?" he asks, seeing where she was looking.
She blinks for a moment, focusing on this pull before opening her eyes and looking back at him. "We're approaching. But something... else is there." she spoke. Leo's expression hardened, he pulled away, standing to his feet as his hand slipped through hers and walked off the spare quarters.
But as Leo is soon gone, the doors to the cockpit open and Mako looks at her blind mentor who steps into the room. "I know you sensed it too. Get ready." she orders.
