JANG YURI sat on the ground of the cramped practice room , learning against the mirror that was cold on her back, giving her warm body some sort of relief. She closed her eyes as she tried to regain her steady breathe.
Yuri spent countless hours alone in this very practice room, trying to perfect everything the best she could, even when she was not accompanied by an instructer or other trainees in a schedule lessson.
She was eager to improve, eager to be the best — but wasn't everyone like that? The K-pop industry was a tough competition, and she's seen all the hate that comes with success. Really, she knew was she was getting herself into as soon as she walked into that audition, but she never thought she would get this far.
The amount of hours of sleep she got naturally turned into less and less, as well as the amount of food she consumed. She was losing weight quickly, it was alarming for her, but she knew that was supposed to happen — or was it?
The door being swung open caused Yuri to jump in total surprise. "Hey Yuri, We need to speak with you about something. Follow me?" All Yuri did was nod in response, before lifting herself off the floor and onto her feet. Her legs ached as she walked and her head spinned from overworking herself. She hadn't even realized they made it to the meeting room till she heard her name being called out.
"Take a seat Yuri" The training director said as he pointed to the seat in front of him. As she took her seat, nerves started to flood her body and the spinning of her head intensified. Sudden meetings like this hardly ever occurred, what could be the reason?
"Yuri, the trainers and I as a whole have noticed how much you have improved recently and how hard you've been working..." Yuri nodded her head in response, not sure to were this topic was going.
"We would like to have you as the final member for the debut lineup for our new girl group, Aespa" The world around her stopped, her eyes went wide and her jaw dropped slightly open in total surprise. Yuri snapped back into reality as she heard him chuckle at her dazed response.
"Do you feel ready, Yuri? I hope you are aware about what's coming"
