Chapter 7: Fang

Fang sat on a building and watched as Chat Noir and Ladybug fought the villain. It was an easy fight, the man had been fired by Bob Roth for no reason and had fallen victim to Shadow Moth. The two heroes defeated him quickly and went their separate ways. 

Fang avoided being seen for two reasons. 1, she wanted to observe how they worked without her, and 2, she wanted to see if there was a way to track the de-evilised butterfly back to Shadow Moth's lair. 

Fang took off after the butterfly and followed as it meandered around town. It stayed in the park for a while and then she followed it to the Agrest mansion. 

This is a waste of time, thought Fang, I'd better just go home. But Fang did not go home. She decided to find the highest roof in town and lay on top where no one could see her. Unfortunately the highest roof was that of La Grand Paris, the Bourgeoise Hotel, which had a pool and deck on the roof where Chloe was bossing Sabrina around.

Fang didn't feel like interacting with Chloe at the moment. It took too much energy to be kind to her. She would just have to settle for another roof.

Just as she was about to leave, Fang heard a shrill voice call out behind her, "Hey you, in the gray. Come here, I want to talk to you."

"Yes Chloe?"

Gasp "You know my name (spoken in sheer delight). I mean, of course you know my name after all, I am the mayor's daughter. If you didn't it would be ridiculous utt-"

"Utterly ridiculous?"

Gasp "You took the words right out of my mouth! We are going to be great friends! I know you of course, you've been all over the news. I don't know your name though. What is your name?"

"Fang"

"Well Fang, I am your new biggest fan! Come over any time, I'll have Sabrina braid your tail or something. She loves doing things I tell her to, don't you Sabrina?"

"Of course Chloe, we're best friends after all!" answered Sabrina.

"We're not actually best friends, I just let her call me that because it makes her do more things for me." Chloe whispered to Fang.

"Well that isn't very nice." Fang whispered back.

Chloe chose to ignore that comment and instead exclaimed, "Oh, you just have to meet Lyla! How could I forget about Lyla!"

"Oh that would be . . . just great," Fang grimaced, "You know, I really think I should get going, but it was really . . . nice talking to you!"

"Oh, of course but you must come back to meet Lyla!"

"Sure thing Chloe"

"Goodbye! Oh and put in a good word with Ladybug for me!"

"Okay, bye Chloe! Bye Sabrina" Sabrina looked very surprised at being addressed and waved slightly as Fang was leaving.

Fang ducked behind a building.

"Volk, moon's set!"

A small gray wolfish creature appeared as Fang's costume disappeared.

'Ugh, I cannot believe I just got roped into a private audience with Chloe and Lyla!" The girl said sliding onto the floor and putting her head in her hands, "I mean one is enough but both at once! I don't think I can do this Volk!"

"You'll be fine," the small creature said, "Stop complaining."

"Well someone's in a great mood today."

"The full moon is tonight, I'm feeling angsty," Volk replied sourly.

"Let's go home," the girl sighed
