chapter 11 (PAIN)

Mia was in her office holding her phone looking absent minded for almost half an hour now, lost in her own thoughts,

she is looking at the picture of her ex husband embracing a girl who wears a ring in her fingers announcing to the world that they are engaged

she is so overwhelmed right now and feels a lot of emotions that want to come out inside of her

She feels so much pain that she herself can't describe, she feels mad, angry, hate, sadness and a lot more that she doesn't know how to deal with.

Mia is so lost in a whirlwind of emotions that she doesn't notice that she shed a lot of tears.
the memories they share together played like a bittersweet movie in her mind

as dawn painted the sky in hues of pink and gold, Mia's tear finally subsided, leaving behind a profound emptiness that echoed through the small room. she wiped her cheeks with trembling hands, a silent vow to carry on despite having cracks in her heart.

Buzz... Mia heard her cellphone vibrating and when she held her phone closer
it was her mother calling her she composed her self so she won't notice that she just cried.

Hey mom
Mia greet her mom casually

Hello sweetie i wonder if you can come home today I've cooked you're favorite food
her mom says sweetly

I like that idea mom im on a night shift and i feel a bit exhausted lately a good food would be nice
says Mia in a low voice

that's good sweetheart then ill see you at home okay
her mom says

Yes mom see you later bye
Mia says her good bye and end the call she takes a deep breath to calm her self down and hope she can survive her whole shift

Mia just park her car outside their house when her mom opened the front door to warmly welcome her

Oh sweetheart come inside i made your favorite cheese cake
Her mom greet her happily

this gesture put a smile on her heavy heart
thanks mom you're the best

after both of them where inside the house her mother lead her to the dinning room and Mia was surprised to see that her mom prepared a lot of food

Mom are we having a party
Mia asked her mother wondering what's the occasion

No sweetheart i made it all for you they are your favorite food, came on let's eat so we can finally have your favorite dessert

Mia notice that all the food in the table are really her favorite so she and her mom eat slowly and talk about what happening to their daily life mostly her mother was the one who is talking.
after both of them are full her mom take away the food in the table and bring her favorite cheese cake

Sweetheart i made this just the way you like
her mother said while bringing her a piece of cake

Mia take a bite and the sweetness make her wounded heart a little better

Sweetheart i made some tea would you like a cup
her mother asked

Sure mom thank you
she took the cup and held it, feeling the warmth against her palms.

you know sweetheart, when your father left me, i thought i would never be able to smile again
her mother says in a calm voice

Really mom? but you are always seemed so strong

It wasn't,well not at first but I had you and your brother to think about. and i realized that life always goes on even when you feels like the world has stopped
