EMMALEIGH
How could he betray me? Jack was meant to be mine own champion, mine own defender!
FOLLOWER 1
Mayhaps his affection for thee were not as potent as he professed.
EMMALEIGH (growling) Hush! He was under my charm, but Yu's homecoming hath thrown all into turmoil. We crave a fresh plot, a method to retaliate and regain what's duly mine.
FOLLOWER 2
What do you propose, Your Highness?
EMMALEIGH
We hath need of allies. Potent duelists who doth defy Yu and his adherents. And we must needs undermine the steadiness of New Diamono from within.
FOLLOWER 1
Do you have anyone in mind?
EMMALEIGH
Verily, there art ever those who doth hunger for power and shall stop at naught to attain it. We must but seeketh them out and proffer what they doth covet.
FOLLOWER 2
And how do we sow discord within the city?
EMMALEIGH
We doth spread rumors, breed mistrust. We uncover their frailties and exploit them. The folk must deem that Yu and his comrades art not so noble as they seem.
FOLLOWER 1
Consider it done, Your Highness.
EMMALEIGH
Good. We hath much labor to attend. Yu and Jack shalt rue the day they did defyeth me.
The followers bow and exit, leaving EMMALEIGH to plot her next move, her eyes filled with determination and malice.
We cut to a dark alley in New Diamono. A shadowy figure approaches a group of disgruntled citizens, whispering conspiratorially.
SHADOWY FIGURE
Are you tired of the lies? The false promises? Yu and his friends claim to protect you, but what have they really done?
CITIZEN 1
They've brought hope, restored the city.
SHADOWY FIGURE
(smiling slyly) Hope? Or control? They've made a system that relys on power for themselves, leaving you with nothing. Emmaleigh was a true leader. She offered peace, not just empty words.
CITIZEN 2
But she's gone. What can we do?
SHADOWY FIGURE
Join us. Help us bring back true leadership. Together, we can reclaim New Diamono and ensure its true potential.
The citizens murmur in agreement, their anger and distrust growing.
CITIZEN 1
What do we need to do?
SHADOWY FIGURE
Spread the word. Undermine Yu's authority. When the time comes, we'll strike, and New Diamono will be ours again.
The citizens nod, the seeds of rebellion planted. The shadowy figure melts back into the darkness, a sinister smile on their lips.
