Charlotte Argent leaned against her cousin Kate's passenger window, looking tired. It had been a long drive to Beacon Hills and she just wanted it to be over. In complete honesty, she didn't even want to come back here in the first place. Even though she was twenty-six, she was still under her family's command.

Unlike her little cousin Allison, Charlotte did not grow up in normal household with loving parents. Instead, she was treated like some who was employed by the family; a soldier to carry on the family tradition - hunting werewolves. In fact, that's why they were here, to help her cousin, Chris, catch the alpha that's been terrorizing the town.

"In other news, local authorities remain perplexed by the animal attacks plaguing Beacon Hills" a reporter said on the local news station. Both Charlotte and Kate scoffed and rolled their eyes knowing full well what was going. Kate flipped to another channel and started applying ore lip gloss "Come on, Char! Could you look a little excited? This will be fun!" Kate tried to convince her.

"Yeah, going after some ultra-psychotic werewolf and trying not to get torn apart, super fun." Charlotte replied sarcastically. "This wolf's behavior is different. The attacks, they're so random that they've got to be connected somehow."

"Ok, I don't know what the hell that means." Kate just turned the music up and started rocking out, but it didn't last long. Suddenly, she turned off the stereo and started looking around.

Charlotte looked over at her "What's wrong?"

"I don't know, something's not right. Get your gun." Kate answered, looking concerned.

"Kate, look out!" Charlotte yelled. Kate had almost run a stop sign into an oncoming truck.

"Nice driving, Kate." she said to her herself. Just then, something jumped on the roof of the car. Kate grabbed her shotgun from the backseat, but whatever it was, broke the drivers side window and tried to pull her out. Charlotte grabbed Kate's arm while trying to line up a shot.

Kate got it to let go of her and put on bullet through the roof. They both exited the car through the passengers side. Kate let off a warning shot, egging whatever it was on, but it didn't come back. Charlotte looked over at Kate

"Well, that was fun." she mocked. Kate rolled her eyes "Shut up." and called Chris for help.

"He's ten minutes away. Grab your stuff, we're going hunting." Kate said excitedly. Charlotte really didn't want any part in this. She'd rather go home and read a book. She wanted to stay out of this situation. Charlotte had accepted long that there are other beings in this world and there was a way to coexist with them. She would, however, protect herself and the ones she loved at all cost, she just wouldn't go looking for a fight.

That's where she and Kate differed - Kate was always down for a fight, she lived for it. Charlotte knew Kate was a good hunter, but she took it a little too far. It was an obsession mixed with hatred and Charlotte did not support that. She knew how to play the game with her family, though.

The two of them saw a smaller werewolf running across the rooftop of an industrial building across the street. Charlotte didn't want to engage, so she acted like her gun was jammed to get Kate's attention. Kate, of course, didn't care and took her shot anyway. They saw the wolf flinch and Charlotte silently prayed for him, knowing his time was now limited.

Just then, Chris pulled up in his SUV, and the two walked over to the car.

"Get in." Chris demanded.
