Of course Charlotte knew that Scott had been sneaking into Allisons's room. Hers was right next door. She wasn't going to say anything though - those two were meant for each other. Just so happens on this particular night, Kate interrupted them. Allison told her that she had to study for a history project and needed to be left alone. Kate insisted that she help and showed Allison more of her family history.

"Damn you, Kate." she thought. Charlotte could see the writing in the wall - Kate wanted Alison to be her protégés. She rather left the alpha tear her apart than to let that happen. Allison was a good person, but she might not stay that way if Kate's involved.

She heard a thump on the ground signaling that Scott had left, so she looked out her window but was shocked at what happened next. She saw Scott walk to the side of the house and then run towards his car - but he wasn't alone. The alpha was chasing him. Holy god, he was scary. She wanted to go help him but couldn't rush out of the house without drawing attention.

She saw the alpha draw a spiral on Scott's window, just like he had done to her car, and run off into the shadows. After Scott drove away, Charlotte headed outside with her gun tucked into her sweatpants waistband. She walked across the street to where Scott had been parked. This might be insane but she wanted to try it.

"I know you're still out here" Charlotte called out, removing the magazine and setting the gun down, kicking it away. "I saw the spiral. Someone wronged you and you want revenge. That's why your form is the way it is. I read years ago that a werewolf takes the physical form of his feelings. What happened to you beyond awful. I'm truly sorry.....Peter."

She knew it was him, it was pretty obvious now. Red eyes found hers through the darkness. The alpha was growling at her and she questioned whether she had just made the worst, rather, the last mistake of her life.

He looked to the spot where the gun was and back at her. She didn't move, she could hardly breathe. She saw how tall he was and how big his teeth were. He could kill her before she could scream if he wanted to.

"I meant what I said to you - I am sorry and Kate will pay for this." She said to him. He bared his teeth in response but it wasn't in a menacing way, it was almost like he was smiling. With that, he took off, leaving her alone on the street with nothing more than a street light and an empty gun.

She went back into the house and unfortunately ran into Kate.

"What's with the gun?" Kate asked.

Charlotte decided to play it off. "Oh, I heard something on the side of the house. It was just raccoon getting into the trash can."

Whether Kate bought it or not, she let it go. Charlotte rolled her eyes, mainly at herself not being more inconspicuous. Now she just had to figure out how to get Kate to the alpha.

On the next afternoon, the doorbell rang. Kate was the closest to the door, so she answered it. Charlotte could hear her talking to someone and the door closing. "Charlotte! Present for you!" she hollered, coming up the stairs. Kate appeared in the bedroom doorway holding a small black box with a bow on it. That's when Kate noticed the roses. "Whoa, who got you those?"

Charlotte just shrugged "I'm not entirely sure. There was no name on them." She conveniently left out the Thank You note part.

"Well, I think you might have a secret admirer" Kate said with a smile. She handed Charlotte the box and watched her open it. Charlotte noticed a small note in the lid but didn't want to read it with Kate standing there. She set the lid down and took out the tissue paper covering the gift. Charlotte gasped, it was a silver crescent moon pendant necklace. It was absolutely beautiful.
