As the clock struck 12:30 am on that lazy Sunday morning, the 2nd of January, the day after the New Year's festivities, I found myself lounging on my bed, mindlessly scrolling through social media. The remnants of the New Year's party still lingered in my tired bones, a mix of joyous memories and sleepy wishes for a slower start to the year. Feeling a bit cheeky, I decided to share a glimpse of my playful side with the world, posting a picture of myself with the caption, "I am crazy, talk to me and I'll make you crazy too." And then, there it was, a comment that caught my eye - from a mysterious figure with a profile picture of a rose blending white and red petals. The comment read, "How many guys have you driven mad?" A mischievous smile crept onto my face as I saw it as a challenge, a challenge I was more than ready to embrace.
In that moment, as I gazed at the screen, a sense of intrigue washed over me. The allure of the unknown, the thrill of a new adventure, it all seemed to beckon me. The enigmatic exchange sparked a curiosity within me that I couldn't resist. The challenge presented in that comment stirred something within me, igniting a fire of determination and curiosity that would lead me down a path I never could have imagined.
As I read his comment, a whirlwind of emotions swept through me. Being the eldest daughter in a family that adores me, I've always been the social butterfly, effortlessly flitting from one conversation to another. Yet, deep down, I carry a world of my own creation within me, shaped by the pages of fictional tales like Harry Potter and vampire series. In my mind, love is a distant concept, overshadowed by the allure of fantastical realms where magic thrives and reality fades into the background.Engaging in this casual chat with the guy, I couldn't help but let a hint of my inner world seep into our exchange. "Well... I'm a bit of an enigma. Those who dare to venture close often find themselves caught in the whims of my charm, whether they choose to linger or drift away, all in a purely platonic dance." As the message flew into the digital abyss, I couldn't shake the feeling of escaping into my own imagination once more, where love takes on mythical hues and the boundaries of reality blur into the realms of magic and mystery.
He did exactly what I thought! he texted me "Ok try on me miss, let's see if you can drive me crazy too, obviously in a platonic way" As I read his message, a mischievous twinkle danced in my eyes. "Ok,Mr. Curious. Let's see if you can handle the whirlwind that is my imagination, all in good fun, of course," I playfully typed back, my smile widening with each keystroke. In that moment, I decided to indulge in a bit of playful banter, knowing well the game we were about to play. All men may seem to follow a similar script, but today, in the midst of boredom and the allure of a temporary escape, I was more than ready to weave a web of enchantment, if only for an hour or two.
After that, we chatted for hours, completely losing track of time. It was only when he mentioned his friend calling for a badminton game that I realized how swiftly three hours had slipped away. I hesitated for a moment, pondering the sudden end to our captivating conversation.
As I lay there, my heart racing from our intense conversation, I couldn't shake off the feeling of reluctance as he mentioned leaving for a badminton game. Those three hours had slipped away like sand through my fingers, leaving me yearning for more. Saying goodbye was usually easy for me, but this time, it felt different, like I was on the edge of something extraordinary. It was a sensation I only experienced when lost in the pages of a captivating book, finding solace in a world far from my own.I was stucked in the loop of my thoughts when his another message popped up "well you never told me your name.... may I have the fortune to know your name?" , a mischievous grin crept across my face. I decided to play along, teasing him with a hint of mystery. I texted "I don't tell my name to strangers, you are just a mere stranger for me why would I tell you my name? Well you can call me D all my friends calls me D cuz my name starts with the letter D". After a few seconds of typing his message popped up "C'mon atleast tell me your name no one has a name with just one alphabet". His frustration was evident in his response, fueling my desire to keep him guessing. With a mix of amusement and anticipation, I challenged him to guess my name,"ohki then my name starts with D guess my name you have whole day ... tomorrow I'll talk you at this time, let's see if you can guess my name right because it is unique, goodbye" setting the stage for a thrilling encounter the next day. A text appeared from his side "challenge accepted, tomorrow same time, goodbye"
As I set my phone down, a sense of satisfaction washed over me. The prospect of his attempt to unravel the mystery of my name filled me with excitement. With a content smile, I drifted off to sleep, my mind buzzing with the thrill of the game we had just begun.
